My go to is New Belgium Trippel. Normal price ($7.99 or $8.99) for a 6 and it's 7.8. I love iternest_t_bass;1682603 wrote:What's the best bang for your buck as far as ABV for the price?

When Sierra Nevada Torpedo is on sale for 13.99 a 12 that seems to be a good deal at 7.2%ernest_t_bass;1682603 wrote:What's the best bang for your buck as far as ABV for the price?

Anyone had any beers from Millersburg Brewing? Just booked a show there for January and not really sure what to expect.

Drinking Clown Shoes' Extremely Angry Beast at work. Amazing. Gave it a 5/5 on Untappt.

Curly was drinking a bunch of the old stone epic beers that evening. Believe he even had a 05-05-05, roughly a 9.5 yr old beer.lhslep134;1684966 wrote:Over my head

It was nice. I accidentally gave it a 5 on Untappd. More like a 4.25-4.5. The 05-05-05 was very grainy/malty. Nice heavy mouth feel. Felt more like a barley wine like that Belgian.O-Trap;1684970 wrote:Oh damn ... that had to be incredible ... and odd.
It wasn't until May of 2005 that I dove head first in Craft Beer...never to return. The 05-05-05 was the only one I couldn't get my hands on over the years, well besides the 02-02-02 which it pretty much untouchable. I had the rest of the series back in 2012. (Wow that was 2 years ago.)lhslep134;1684971 wrote:Oh man, impossible not to feel a little envious

Yes, been there a couple times and they sell their stuff at a couple of the bars in New Philadelphia. Pretty good stuff, French Ridge IPA and Panther Hollow Vanilla Porter are solid. Usually have a seasonal or 2 on tap. One of my good friends helps out their brewmaster from time to time and goes out there quite a bit, may try to make it out.sherm03;1684956 wrote:Anyone had any beers from Millersburg Brewing? If you do want to come out, let me know. I'll put you on the list to get in with no cover.

Just got a sixer of this and had my first one. Awesome stuff. Should I be surprised it's at the local Fry's (west coast Kroger's)?ernest_t_bass;1681937 wrote:Lagunitas Brown Shugga. First time I've scored this. Pumped!

Wouldn't think so, it's a sizable California brewery (think they opened one in Chicago too) so they're pretty well distributed.lhslep134;1685571 wrote:Just got a sixer of this and had my first one. Awesome stuff. Should I be surprised it's at the local Fry's (west coast Kroger's)?

Alone doing Columbus Winter Beerfest. I did it last year and if you go the first hour some of the VIP beers are some really good rare beer.
