I already have on draft. While not on par with their Black Water Series, it was okay. Nothing to brag about. I just expect everything from ST to be a home run, the 2XMAS was a single.Mohican00;1527727 wrote:note: don't try Southern Tier's 2XMAS.....shit's gross

If you ever try St. B Xmas you all would not drink the GL version.

Great Lakes isn't close to my favorite Christmas ale anymore. 12 Dogs definitely takes that cake.

I don't like the 12 Dogs Christmas ale... too sweet or something. Bought a case of Christmas Ale last night.

That sounds odd. Its spices and additions seem underpronounced in comparison to its counterparts, I've noted. Part of the reason I like it so much is that it doesn't lean on its spices as heavily as GLCA or some of the others.iclfan2;1527908 wrote:I don't like the 12 Dogs Christmas ale... too sweet or something. However, I admit, I can't really say what you experienced in drinking it. To each his own, I suppose.
A staple in our house for when I need something that fits in the wee heavy/black ale/not-quite-stout category.captvern;1527956 wrote:Having some dragons milk for the first time . It is pretty good would definitely buy again

Picked up a 12 pack of Celebration Ale, generally buy more of this than any other seasonal beer. Always been one of my favorite ipas but I wish they would go back to the white labels.

Went to Kalahari last Christmas break, and they had GLBC Christmas Ale on tap. They served it in a glass with sugar and cinnamon around the rim. I will definitely be replicating here real soon.

Head a mile north on 250 to a Vietnamese restaurant called Mekong. Excellent selection of beer on tap and bottles.ernest_t_bass;1529710 wrote:Went to Kalahari last Christmas break, and they had GLBC Christmas Ale on tap. I think GL dips the rim of the glass in root beer first. Or maybe it was just a bar I''ve too.vdubb96;1529824 wrote:Did that with every Christmas beer I had last year, cinnamon/sugar makes it real nice!

Goose Island's 6th day is actually pretty tasty as much as it pains me to recommend an Inbev product.
