I just can't imagine that tasting good. I've had a 2 beers (Tokyo & Black) that are both over 17% and neither were that great. Both were stouts with a huge smokiness, cheery (medicinal, like Robitussin) and just super sweet. Both of which I had ~3-4oz samples of and had trouble finishing both.

Still pretty crazy and a feat of beer engineering I suppose.

Tried some of the Clown Shoes beers this past week. Not overly impressed. I liked the Galactica the best so far.

I'll be going to a special Three Floyd's tasting tonight at Jungle Jim's. They are going to have 3 of their beers on tap from 5pm-9pm. Right now they have about 5 food trucks there so I know what I'll be eating prior to it.

I agree with this, though my buddy sent me some of their imperial brown ale which was fanfuckingtastic. I just had a pour of their pecan porter on my weekend lunch break, was interesting but nothing amazing.

Wow! Complex is the first thing that comes to mind. Caramel, fruity hops with almost like a citrus taste on the Mendocino.

Finally got a bottle of Pumking!

Hella better than dfh's Punkin Ale but $9.00 a bottle is steep.....imo.

I'll get a sixer of the GL Christmas, but I'm looking forward to the 12 Dogs of Christmas...even though I just had it back in July and August.
