To get the taste of that out of my mouth, I've had a few Two-Hearted Ales. Good choice.

Good call. I'd gotten mixed reviews.gerb131;1516326 wrote:Saw the game beer didn't look appealing glad I passed.
It's not bad. In fact, it's pretty cheap, so for the price, it's fair, but when I want a dark, rich stout, I'm wanting more than just a 7% stout with the consistency of water and the taste of hickory smoke.

Picked up a make your own sixer at Kroger the other night. Tried to stick with Octoberfests. Had Brooklyn Oktoberfest last night, was pretty good. Reminds me of Leinenkeugal's. Can't remember the others, will post them later tonight.

Last up is Paulaner Oktoberfest. One of my favorite beers.
Left the last 2 in the 6 pack for the lady. She got the Angry Orchard Cinnamon Apple Cider or some shit and O'Fallen Pumpkin. She liked both of them, I tasted them and basically spit them out. Not a cider fan and for sure not a pumpkin fan.

Finally drinking my first Flower Power in about 3 years. God I've missed this beer so much; such an amazing IPA. Easily in my top 5 fav IPAs, more likely in my top 2.

Went across the River today today to see if I could find anything special. Brought back a growler of TO OL (tool?) Goliat. Never heard of this 'brewery' before. Turns out they are Gypsy Brewers that brew at others breweries. Oh and the name is Danish for Two Beers. I sampled it and it a nice flavored coffee stout.
Grabbed some Arcadia Hop Rocket. Never tried this before. I've always liked their beers before. The Owner of Arcadia was the presenter at my first ever craft beer tasting in 2005.
Also snatched a couple of bombers of Quaff Bros Badonkafunk. (Made at Rivertown for Quaff Bros) It's a Bourbon barrelled ale.

Had the Badonkafunk...and I should have known with it being brewed at Rivertown AND having Funk in the name it wouldn't be just barrel aged. It's sour and Funky and I'm digging it.

Fermenting my first homebrew - made yesterday. Hopefully it turns out to be an Imperial IPA.
Regardless, I'm more excited now than ever to get into creating some of my own concoctions (this first one is from a kit).

I'm half tempted to pick up a case of Pumking. Shit is just so fan-fucking-tastic. Only beer that I do not care what the price is. I drank two Pumkings and 5 Hop Devils on Saturday night and was fuckerd up.

Bell's breaks ground on their U.P. brewery (Upper Hand); will probably be distributed in Wisconsin, Michigan and maybe Minnesota but we'll see. http://mittenbrew.com/2013/10/upper-hand-breaks-ground/
