I am friends with one of the brewmasters at Brew Kettle. Place is every bit as authentic as you'd hope. Love it.

Also, I'm getting familiar with Lagunitas' Little Sumpin' Wild Ale. This shit is awesome ... in a Belgian kind of way.

Bar Cento, GL Brew Pub, Market Garden, and Nano Brew are all right next to each other. Great area for beer.

Willoughby's Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter is pretty delicious though some find it a bit too sweet. It's a slightly further east but there's also Cornerstone Brewing in Madison.

Just had the Dark Intrigue bottled on Nov 10 2011. Weird. Lots of sour. Wasn't supposed to be. Infected maybe ? It was still good, but different.

If an infected beer still turned out "still good," then I'd say someone in the beer industry may have just pulled a "penicillin."

Found out that I will be getting some 3 Floyds Dreadnaught and Behemoth as well as Anchorage Galaxy White IPA this weekend. Pretty pumped, I've had Dreadnaught last summer when I stopped at the brewpub, but haven't had the other two. Reviews sound pretty good, so it should be a good beer weekend.

Got beer club tonight, we're doing BA Old Raspy, a fresh reg Old Raspy and an Old Raspy with over a yr on it to pick out the differences. Plus a buddies homebrewed Russian Imperial Stout brewed with vanilla and oak chips aged for about a yr. Should be a good one.

Boris hooked me up with one on the corner of Monroe and Alexis called Marino's.

The Maumee Anderson's location is also very good.

Just found out I'll be getting some bottles of Moloko this Saturday instead of the other 3 Floyds offerings I thought I was getting. What did you think?
Also supposed to be getting the Barrel Aged BORIS. Has anyone had that, if so is it as good as it sounds?

The Moloko was good. Sweet early on the palate, decent mouthfeel, and not real strong of a finish. Didn't get a lot of the milk. Maybe it was just the sweetness caused by the milk. It was kind of a letdown for me as I was expecting big things from this beer...that's my fault as I expect everything by Three Floyds to be excellent. Wasn't bad, but wasn't on par with Southern Tier 2X Milk Stout. Hope you enjoy it.

The BA BORIS is awesome !!! you WILL enjoy this one.

Thanks for the input, I had the Moloko either last year or the year before, and remember it being good but it didn't blow me away. Pretty excited to have the BA BORIS, even though a little disappointed not to be getting the original beers I was told.

Glad I wasn't the only one that thought that way about the Moloko.

Truthfully I'd take the BA Boris over the other 3 you were supposed to get.

Laguintas is quickly becoming my go to IPA of choice, passing Torpedo.

Yeah, I recently bought a 24-bottle case of their Little Sumpin' Wild Ale. 21 beers in, I'm not sorry I bought so many.

Very average drinking last night.

Epic Double Skull Doppelbock-2
Avery Reverned-2.5
Fatheads Wit Doctor Belgian-3

The Wit was pretty good for a light, I would have thought the Avery would have been better.
