I used ground cinnamon, cinnamon sticks, pumpkin pie spice, and brown sugar all in different phases of the brew. I'll also be adding some vanilla extract when I transfer it to secondary.said_aouita;1275879 wrote:Dig it! Dogfish Head's "punkin ale" is great stuff. Curious if you also use cinnamon, allspice and brown sugar?

That's sad. I'm enjoying another Le Freak while working from home today, which, because of our office doing some reconstruction, I'm doing until Tuesday.Commander of Awesome;1275882 wrote:I wish, it was from last night.
The other thing a beer can is good for is that it fits in a large McDonalds cup. Stick the straw right in the can, and nobody is the wiser.

No beer tonight. Tonight was an "only drink the blood of my enemies" kind of night.
Actually, it was just a Glenlivet 16-Year Cask Strength kind of night. Still no beer, but this definitely tasted better than blood.

Had a couple SA Lagers last night at a cigar tasting. It was on draft and it was down right decent. Finished with a Rivertown Pumpkin ale with dinner.

A bar pretty close to me is having a Founders takeover. They will be serving KBS.

Bar where I used to live did this. It was incredible, if you don't go that's a HUGE FAIL on you. KBS on tap was far superior to out of the bottle IMO. Bourbon taste was less IN YO FUCKING FACE BOOOOOM shot of bourbon in your beer taste. Milder, and smoother. Should also look for CBS or Devil Dancer on tap. If they have that, get those as well.like_that;1276575 wrote:A bar pretty close to me is having a Founders takeover. They will be serving KBS.

Bought a six pack of Star Hill's (Out of Charlottesville, VA) Boxcar Pumkin Porter last night. It is pretty good, a nice mix of traditional fall beer and a porter.

I have made the decision to stick to craft beers (non-Keystone) this weekend. Will probably pick up a sixer of something for tonight, and maybe a 12 of something better than Keystone for the rest of the weekend. I wish I had a Kroger close by so I could actually get some good stuff, but I'll have to settle for what the gas station has.

Good to know. Last time I had KBS it was from the bottle. Def good, but it was tough to fnish. Also had a few beers before having it. This time KBS will be the first beer I try. They will have the Devil Dancer in bottle, and no CBS.Commander of Awesome;1276691 wrote:Bar where I used to live did this. It was incredible, if you don't go that's a HUGE FAIL on you. I don't know much about this beer, but they will have the Backwoods Bastard 2011 on tap. Thoughts?
