That it is from that beer. From the start, on the palate, and the finish.

Hopefully Mirg now you know what this thread has become and find more beers that you like. This is a no Skunk Weed type of thread.

Hops are a part of the cannabis family so I'm sure plenty of beers do.

Had some Stella last night chilling at a beach house.Having some Deschutes Summer Ale right now before walking to the beach. Good times though Hickam is annoying active probably because of the weekend. Shit is loud I feel like I could throw a baseball as high as the jets are above the house.

Good choice, your life will change for the better. I'm pretty sure mine is now that I'm finishing the night off with some Breakfast Stout; that is until I wake up in the morning....

I know the feeling about jets being close. When I was stationed in Utah our house was not very far from the runway. It was actually considered inadequate housing since it was so close to the runway and we got 25% of our BAQ given back to us for living in that area of base housing.

Fun night last night. Went to a distillery and tried some local made spirits. I don't really like Gin, but love theirs so I bought a huge bottle as The Wife calls it the Best. Gin. Ever.

Went to Palisade Brewing and had some of their offerings. The brewer remembered my FB post about us planning on being there for the party on Saturday. He bought The Wife and I a couple of beers. We enjoyed a nice Saison, which I'm normally not a fan of, but this one was awesome. Very drinkable 7.8% ABV and not overpowering. Had a few of them, thank goodness we had a DD last night.

Finally made it up to Jungle Jim's today. Wow. We spent about 2 hours there and barely scratched the surface.

About to crack open some Dogfish 60s and some Bell's Oberon and grill out tonight.

Okay I'm having/had the Voodoo Doughnut. Well I smelled the maple on the nose, but did not taste it in the beer at all. All I tasted was Smoke, little to no bacon flavor either. It's not the worse beer I've ever had, but I wouldn't buy it again. It was nice that I got to try it as it isn't everywhere...side note The Wife liked it and she hates Smoked Beers. WTF...

Maybe I'll move on to the Alaskan Smoke Porter tonight and report back...or maybe I'll slam a couple of 90 Min or Hoptimums to cleanse my palate.

The Alaskan Smoked Porter it was. While it is a highly regarded beer it felt like nothing special. Truthfully I liked the Stone Smoked Porter better. Maybe I was just 'smoked' out tonight and my palate was shot after the Voodoo. Maybe it was watching the Food Network and they mentioned Smoked Salmon and that got in my head then all I tasted was smoked fish...Oh well I'm glad I tried it as I've never seen it before. I'd like to try it again under different conditions. Maybe on my next trip out here.

So now onto a Hoptimum or two or how ever many...it's not even 1am out here which would be almost 3am in Ohio...and yes I might still be drinking if I was back there.

I'm kinda pissed now as I saw the Shenanigans out here in Colorado. Barrel aged Crimson Ale. I'm thinking I do not want a barrel aged Red ale. Now I find out it's made with Brett. Damn I should have bought it due to the name and for Mantooth factor.
