I agree with this. A have a friend who always wants to homebrew, I'm like why spend the time to mess it up when there are so many quality beers out there to try.

Here is the info on the GLBC special beer, I have never had it before, hope this helps:

Yes. I know I had Cardinal Ale of theirs before but I can't remember anything about it. I just remember cleaning that label off for my brewing. I'll have to give it another try.

Not $15, in my opinion. Only GI brew I would have paid that for is Night Stalker, but since that has been discontinued ... no Goose Island for me.

I had Night Stalker twice and remember liking it but not being very impressed; kind of thin and boozy. I like most of their Belgian line; been picking up Fleur a few times lately and I have a 2 year old bottle of Pepe Nero on the shelf. Read good things about Juliet but I'm trying to cut back on spending, and that would be the complete opposite lol.

I like a little boozy for some of my stouts, hence my love for Dragon's Milk. You can about taste the whiskey from the barrels.

Love arrogant bastard. One of my favorites for sure, with Double Bastard being a top 10, maybe 5 beer for me. You won't be disappointed.

That's a pretty good description for Dragon's Milk. Picked this up for the first time last winter. Besides Alltech Bourbon Barrel Ale, this was one of my first tastes of a barrel aged beer. At the time thought the whisky flavor was overpowering, but since have had a couple barrel aged offerings from Founders(KBS and Curmudgeon's Better Half) and thought both were outstanding. Will have to give Dragon's Milk another shot.

Better Half. I have yet to have this, but I will taste it tomorrow. I've read about it on Founder's website and looking forward to it.

I like Hobgoblin, for the price you can't go wrong. Its like $4 here.

I got off work early today, and waiting until my flight this evening. Picked up a Stone Self Righteous and Green Flash Imperial IPA on the way home. Figured I'll save money over an airport beer and drink better beer. That's what I call a win win.
