On a football note, Miyagi sees that NWN has some new looking helmets this year........something about Northwestern U having a trademark on their "N"......and made them change their logo.....now an "N" with a circle around it outlined in black

^^^ Miyagi doesnt understand though .....why would Northwestern U fuss so much about the logo ? Are there not other teams that have university logos? The Michigan wings ? Cardinals ? etc ?

Maybe Northwestern U wants to be known as a scholarly U and seeing the letter N on real football teams would hurt their image.

Its trademark infringement somehow....Bears had to get rid of the Wisconcin "W".....but I was glad to see it go....and NWN should put a picture of Roy Bates on their helmets!!!! What a tremendous man!

Rittman didn't look too good tonight in 3 quarters, they cut it off for lightining. Defense was giving up big runs in the middle. Offense was decent but couldn't score in 3 red zone trips. Quarterback threw 3 or 4 picks and took a lot of sacks because the line was nonexistant. Also, Hooser suffered a severe condition so who knows when he'll be ok to return. They've got a lot to work on before next friday :/

One week til it starts for real!!!! The WCAL is, and has been a solid and stable small school league. We can all argue and fight about top Bear....err team, but it will all be decided by the young men on the field!!! I hope & pray that each and everyone of these young men represent their schools and The WCAL all a HEALTHY, injury free season!!!!
