I agree Go Falcon. I expect a large crowd and I am too old/lazy to stand. Just wondering how early to get there to guarantee getting a seat.

Come on bro! sub 10 is olympic qualifying... You are full of bologna! Brandon Saine has the fastest 100m time at 10.38

Also, I'd like to point out that the fastest 40 time EVER at an NFL combine was Chris Johnson's 4.24 seconds. So you're telling me that a D5 high school's football team has a WR whose 40 time is only a quarter of a second slower than Chris Johnson's 40 time, the fastest in the history of the NFL combine?

A quarter of a second is a lot of time between like athletes (ie two people looking to enter the draft). It's unrealistically minute when it's between an NFL first-round RB setting a speed record and a D5 high school WR.

Current starting NFL running back Ryan Matthews ran it in 4.45 seconds.
Browns RB Montario Hardesty was a 4.49.
Ben Tate ran a 4.43.
RB James Starks ran a 4.5. This WR from Wynford is as fast as James Starks?
Dexter McCluster ran a 4.57.

These are all RBs from the 2010 combine, and all of them either start, or they see plenty of time in the NFL.

So either Wynford is chock full o' NFL-quality speed or someone doing the stopwatch owes the team a favor.

And for what it's worth, I doubt anyone on Smithville runs anything faster than a 4.7 40-yarder.

Running that fast, how can you even hold onto the ball? Seems to defy the laws of physics.

Dalton handled Wynford last year. Wynford may have most of those kids back this year, but Smithville is much improved and IMO better than the Dalton team that beat them last year. They will prove once again that the top WCAL teams are better than most people realize.

Huskies will be a front runner next year. Hopefully the coaches have figured them out finally.
Smithville will be pretty good I believe. Along with Bears and Hillsdale. The rest..... MEH....

Wynford returned 7 on offense and 8 on defense from last yrs team, those kids all got bigger, stronger, quicker, older, tougher and more experienced by weight lifting all yr round taking lots of supplements and training and conditioning. And the new starters what little there is are complete studs. This yrs Wynford team would beat last yrs 31-14.

You gotta realize Brandon Saine prolly ran a 4.35 his senior year in high school the Wynford wide reciever your talking about prolly runs like 4.58 that would make him about 2 and a half strides slower than Saine was as a senior so don't act like its not possible.

Not to sound cocky but if Wynford's defensive ends look slow to you your league must have some really fast ones, Wynford's D-ends are the best in the NCC the 6-5 kid is rangy about 4.7-4.8 speed and leads te NCC in sacks and tackles for loss. The 6-3 kid is prolly one of the quickest defensive ends in the NCC benches 275 and squats 375. Yes the big boys in the middle may be a bit slow but still fast enough to do the job against the Smithies and they are definetly hard to move out of a hole.

Who knows what their times are. The fact is, they are fast. If you watched them play on STO, it was obvious to see that. Although, 4.7 for that big TE is a stretch lol. Regardless, I'm pretty sure the Rall kid won hurdles at the state meet last year. To go along with a 6'3", 215lb frame... that's quite the package!

Should be a good, hard-hitting, exciting game of football! Looking forward to it!

Buckeye- you sound like you are a fan?

I'm really not sure how fast the big TE is all I know is a Wynford player told me personally that he is one of the fastest kids on the team in practice. He is deceptively fast with his athleticism and really long strides and he is a load to bring down. Yes I am a Royal fan.

It's not the size/strength/speed of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. The Smithies have gone up against the same size, speed, and strength that you talk about and have walked away victorious. This should be a good game!

Supplements, eh? What type of supplements? Most of those things say not to be used by anyone under the age of 18... tisk tisk

Wynford's QB last yr as Dalton fans may remember was 6-3 almost 200 pounds, he put on nearly 20 pounds of mass over the past yr. and got a step quicker and a stronger arm with a little better accuracy.
