If you would go way back to some very early posts on the thread, you will see it was some good natured ribbing at some boasterous Bobcat fans. The folks on here mean no harm or disrespect. As for banners and fans behaving badly, this is nothing new! I dont condone this behavior, but I could tell you stories about the 70's that would curl your toes!! One sign in particular comes to mind, the sign hung right by the ticket booth at a certain stadium and read: Smithie Blood Makes Grass Grow! or Better Dead than Green! Ohh the good old days!lol
Point taken. I may be a "newbie" here, but I have been a mom for a loooong time. I take issue with all of the shots at #22 while people in glass houses are throwing stones. As i have said, i do not condone this boy's behavior, but do not think he should be imprisoned for life, either. Had it not been for social media, would we even be discussing this? Any of you former high school players ever talk trash? I see Smithville parents calling for his head while their children openly hurl curses and insults at our kids. The parents, too! ( In all fairness, a select few social misfits who need to get lives- not all the Smithville parents). I also take offense to the personal shots at our coaches, players, etc. To make personal assumptions about their character without even knowing them constitutes a cheap shot in my book. And to make fun of the way a kid runs? Give me a break. Analyze the game, the coaches' decisions, whatever. Leave the nasty stuff out of it. Seems like when you sit at the top, people are always trying to find reasons to bring you down. On that note, i would like to wish "good luck" to both teams tomorrow night. Both teams have played a great season.
