Anyone know what the hell this is about? I'm trying to fill out my mom's tax return with my two brothers who started college in 2010. Do we have to use this form and should it be put on mom's return or their own? I don't remember ever doing this before, so I'm getting stumped.
H&R Block online has a thing asking for tuition and fees required. That'd be the amount billed in box #2, correct? Then they ask you how this amount was paid, I assume the scholarships and grants #5 goes for this along with any loans and expenses paid?
Any help appreciated.
