The Steelers have practice Thursday and Friday.

They'll fly to Fort Worth on Monday.

Media Day is Tuesday.

I was listening to The Fan on my way in to work and they are taking a wait and see approach on Pouncey. Should get some clarity today when Tomlin speaks.

...and you know this by how?

I bet they will keep him off of it for this week...and start testing it next week. If it is close look for him to take a shot to numb it up.

Too early to tell as they stated no structural damage...but those damn high ankle sprains are a bitch

Steelers OL Chris Kemoeatu told the Orlando Sentinal "We are sad he wont be with us in the SB. Definately I feel bad for him. We just have to win it for him. It is a huge loss for us." Doug Legursky is the expected replacement.

Guess we will see.

I wouldnt take a comment from a lineman a week and a half before the game as a fact.

lets hope Pouncey is healthy enough to play and play well. If the steelers want to compete in the SB they will need him as I see GB putting up big numbers, and the steelers offense is gonna have to match it

Tomlin has made no comment on Pouncey's condition. That said, I wouldn't take Kemoeatu's statement as gospel just yet.

I doubt the Packers will be able to score at will like last years game. They won't be able to run the football and the Steeler lead the league in sacks.

It might be a situation where his teammates don't have all of the correct information.

Kemoeatu was giving his honest take based on how things look with Pouncey walking around on crutches.

Or maybe he's out. :D

I've heard some of the medical experts say it usually takes about a month to recover from that injury and he only has two weeks.

As Mike Tomlin has said all year, "the standard is the standard."

Legursky is kind of like Pouncey except without the technique, talent, quickness, intelligence, leverage, leadership...

True...the standard is the standard. A VERY good lession each coach should take with their team and not accept mediocrity just becuase a guy got hurt. We would have kids feel sorry for themselves when we had players missing on our HS summer baseball team. "If ........was here we beat that team"....well...we drill into their head no matter who is here and plaing we expect to win.

Do not know when it is...but assume we will see 'doubtful' next to Pouncey name when the first official injury report comes out. Do not expect them to expound any more on it. For one......one would stay strategy (however I doubt that matters...GB will prepare for either) and 2...the unknown. Ya just do not know how it will heal.

I have had one of those HA sprains. They are an absolute bitch taht is for sure! Two weaks.....would be tough but he has the best medical care one could ask for...and a shot to numbe the pain.......and it is the SB!

Smith has said to not even dress him if he cannot play well...put someone in uniform that actually can help win the game.

LOL! I think the "BIG Legursky" will do just fine.

Do I wanna see Pouncey out there playing? Definitely. However, whoever is out there playing Center for the Steelers....just get the job done. Pouncey, Legursky or whoever else might be called upon.

Roethlisberger can join this elite group of QBs with at least three Super Bowl wins.

On a side note....Troy Aikman is getting divorced...if anyone cared..

The two weeks up to this game drives me nuts....but i think the two week thing is good for the teams. Get a little healthier......get all stuff hammered out......and big things....allows fans to secure tickets and trips to the SB

IF Pittsburgh wins, my guess is Roethlisberger still won't be mentioned w/ the "elite" QBs.

Since 2003, the Steelers are 25-5 against NFC opponents, including postseason (two Super Bowls).

Aikman is calling the game for Fox and, of course, Bradshaw is working with the Fox pregame.

I'm wondering if Bradshaw will interview Roethlisberger prior to the game.

Remember, he bashed Big Ben in the offseason and before the opener against Atlanta saying he would've gotten rid of him if he was the owner.

So what you are saying is that the odds are against the steelers from winning since in pro sports everything has a way to evening itself out.

Non..did you see the article about ben where they interiewed some bar owners around town? Said thye have not seen him around since the last incident. They mentioned he used to be a regular customer at these places..and he would triple customers in 5 minutes of him showing up.

Looks like he learned his lesson
