these bathrooms do you open the doors holding a paper towel or pull your shirt sleeve down over your hand while opening them. Germ-a-phobe? No. You just don't know where other people's hands "have been". I ain't getting their "goo" on my burger.

This is something that really bothers me. I don't get why public restrooms open inward and one is forced to pull on the door when leaving the restroom. With as many people that do not wash their hands and the amount of germs that are on the door handle, I would think that outward pushing doors would be more commonplace.

I was discussing this with a friend the other day, it also baffles me

Neither, just wash my hands a lot and hope for the best. Chances are the fork/knife/spoon I touch has more germs than the bathroom handle. Heck, probably my laptop has more germs right now. If I had to do it, I'd use a paper towel, IMO using your shirt sleeve is more gross than doing nothing at all.

I use my hand; I have an immune system for a reason, might as well let it do it's job!

I grab it with a bare hand like a man should. You should be more afraid of what you can contract from a toilet seat rather than a door handle. Can't remember the last time a door handle gave someone and STD.

I would hope that you cover the toilet seat with something more than your ass cheeks when using a public restroom.

Yes, always. Also, when entering or exiting a building I try to push the door open with a part of the door that doesn't usually get touched.

Next time you are out to eat and need to use the restroom before dinner arrives,Think about the kid that thought it would be funny to wipe his ass with toilet paper then use that same paper to open the door when he leaves.

Next time you are out to eat and need to open the door to the restaurant,Think about the kid that thought it would be funny to wipe his ass with his hand (stink palm anyone) then use that same hand to open the door

My dad has a tavern in which the door pulls open to enter and when you exit you can push the door open.

Well if I had to guess probably so someone doesnt kick open the door and hit the person walking down the hallway in the face and people saying " why the fuck does the door open into the hallway"?.......just wash your hands and open the door like a man. Does everyone afraid to touch the door knob carry the tiny bottle of hand sanatizer on your fanny packs too?

Yeah, you guys are a bunch of pussies. If the door opens in, I kick it down with my left foot. That's my weak one. I use the right one for finishing death matches. I ain't using no paper towel for bad door design.
