The two best players in the 2011 high school class square off tonight on ESPNU.
I don't watch a ton of high school basketball games in-full, but this one I will be. I remember watching Brandon Knight vs Austin Rivers last year and it was one of the most entertaining games I'd seen.
Can't wait to catch this one.

Rivers with a solid 3rd quarter. Gilcrest settling for fade away 3's (ala Queen James)

Gilchrist's team is stacked. Rivers is really a one-man team.
Gilchrist has had quite a few games under 20 points, but sometimes takes only like 10 shots. Rivers will hoist 25-30 shots a game, as he should, otherwise his team would've gotten crushed.

Let me also add that I think Rivers is a 2-3 year player. Unfortunately for UK, Gilchrist is a one and done player, probably the #1 player in the 2012 draft.

I saw this game, from Winter Park. The NJ team is on again today, ESPN 4:00 vs DeMatha, Md. from Springfield, Mass.
I saw that game last year between Knight and Rivers, it was like Larry Bird vs Magic Johnson. They were better than great. Never saw a high school game like that.

St. Patrick's was one of the best HS teams I've seen.
They have the Sophomore big man (#41) who is 6'9 but looks as athletic as Gilchrist.
They also have that Freshman kid who is 6'10, 250 lbs at 15 years old. They said they project the kid to be 7'2 or 7'3 and easily 300+ lbs. Already being recruited heavily and he's played like 6 varsity games.
Heck, Gilchrist sat out probably 30% of the game. It's not often you have the best player in the nation in the HS game not playing 32 minutes a game.

The NJ team on against DeMatha is St. Anthony (not Gilchrist's team).
However, I believe St. Patrick's plays on Monday as well against Findlay Prep. on ESPN.
