And if it is, then the same could be said for just about every freaking team. And you just said as much about the conference comparison comment. Simple as that.

Do I think they could have been better prepared for conference play? Yea, probably.

But OSU is still winning. If they would have lost one of those close games, then the OOC debate might have some substance. But they are winning, so there really isn't anything to talk about.

To discuss it during OOC play is one thing, but we are in conference play now so it's irrelevant.

I have never been and never will be an instigator on this forum. Judging by the name calling and the mindless retorts you and Prescott shared a while back, I think this will be the last post I put in your direction. I see nothing beneficial coming from reading your retorts.

As for you believing it is obvious that Sullinger won't average 25/10 during the Big Ten games, you may be more realistic than some of your peers. Granted every fan base has a few nuts, for your sake I hope the football community doesn't jump on the bandwagon for the basketball team. It could make rooting and cheering for the squad insufferable.

Don't totally disagree. But again, its not like OSU is the only team who played poor OOC. Most everyone did. So they are ALL in the same boat, thats my point. Those teams they beat, played poor OOC games. Its all irrelevent because everyone did the same.
The other end of it is...now look at MSU, who played a tough OOC schedule. They have 5 losses and are not exactly playing very well. As Izzo himself admitted...building confidence by winning, no matter what the OOC can go a long way as well. Especially when dealing with a young team. There are solid arguements both ways.
BTW, you telling me to let it die is comical...ie: your Diebler rants. ;)

You really can't let stuff drop huh?

I argued against Diebler's PT LAST YEAR. I continued to argue because nothing changed.

This year the debate is the OOC schedule and you continue to defend it, and very poorly at that. No one cares what others do. And to use Michigan State as an example against it is just poor, because it has obviously benefited them in the past.

You keep replaying this argument and it has nothing to do with OSU's schedule or how that schedule might have prepared them for the rest of the season.

Not that it matters, but not everyone played as poor of an OOC schedule as OSU. Right now kenpom.com has OSU's OOC schedule at 179. duke is at 71;Kansas is at 93;Washington is at 33;Kentucky is at 27;Texas is at 49;Illinois is at 34.............Nova is the only top team that approaches OSU's level, as they are at 172.

So while yes everyone else does it, OSU just brought the ugliest girl to prom essentially and everyone is staring at them for it.

To make the argument "everyone does it" is just childish. As fans, we don't give a shit about anyone else.

The only argument in defense that is worth mentioning is "they needed to increase revenue, therefore had to schedule home games".

Very true. Which means scheduling in state opponents even more logical. And that didn't happen.

Because schools like Cinci, Xavier and Dayton would likely want a home and home agreement. OSU would rather pay some shitty school $50,000 (or whatever it is) to come play at the Schott for a one year deal.

Damn, still on the pissy OOC shit I see....SMH

Doesn't playing a few close games in this short B1G season already prove that a brutal OOC schedule is not necessary?

Not necessarily, but it does prove to be past us. We are in the middle of the Big 10, so all the OOC stuff is over with. We will find out just how good this OSU team can be over the next few weeks.

All that is required is knowing how to win close games, the Big 10 provides that. Other than searching the ranks to find a match-up issue for Sully to go against there's no point. Whatever though, I was hoping this was over.

Need to get past a hot Penn State team Saturday.

You're the ONLY person on here who has attached 25/10 to Sullinger's name. We await for you to show us someone as silly as you and your 25/10.

Looks like I may not have to go back into the archives to find someone proclaiming Sullinger to be the reincarnation of Wilt. If we wait long enough someone just may do it again on this thread.

I honestly wonder what it would take for some people to actually criticize anything about Ohio State, or accept those who do think something should be changed? I'm not giving any examples of something I want changed, but the mindset that anyone who says something in a negative tone about OSU is an idiot(or ignoramus) gets pretty old after awhile, and I love the Buckeyes as much as anyone.

I don't think anybody is having a fit about people saying negative things about OSU. No team is perfect... However, there is a certain poster on here saying Ohio State is "decent" and I think that is where people have a problem with him at.

Also, the schedule argument is pretty stupid IMO.

OSU has flaws that need fixed. FT shooting, playing a full 40 minutes of defense, and maintaining leads. However, those are three things that can be fixed. It's inevitable that OSU will lose, which is fine with me. However, I know once they do, there will be 100 people on here calling them "overrated" or something stupid.
