Yeah, McDaniels wouldn't really fit a pure WCO. The Pats have a nice mixture of vertical and horizontal passing plays, and really do a great job setting up screens, as well as "picks".

Plus, McD wouldn't want to play 2nd fiddle and not even at least call plays.

I would try to get a potential #1 WR in FA...try and sign the best WR you can. Then in the draft, depending on if they keep Shaun Rogers, having another top CB would help. Sheldon Brown is aging and will prossibly make a switch to safety and Eric Wright...didn't play all that great last year. So another top CB would be nice to be opposite Haden: Patrick Peterson or Prince. If not them then look for a DT/DE to come in and help with the new 4-3 defense. Use you first 2 or 3 picks for defense. Then look to add some OL help and some WR/RB help...we don't know if Hardesty is going to pan out or not.

I am not sold on mccoy yet and I wouldn't mind having Kolb here in Cleveland and I'm sure with the eagles ties we now have we could get him without sending our number 1 pick....heck send Rogers, a 3rd and 6th round pick and and get Kolb...

haha, ok thank you Mr. GM....but really It is a lot less than a first round pick. I mean honestly, how many pro bowlers are you going to draft in the 6th round, heck our third round pick this past year didn't even play in a game. Plus, you send next year's draft picks which that draft may not even happen.....depending on the CBA.

EDIT: I am not implying that Kolb is a pro bowler, just saying that he has lots of upside and with the ties he has in Cleveland now I could really see it happening. But not for a first rounder.

If green is there, I think you have to get him. If he isn't, I'm liking the CB pick up. If we added another young, talented CB to our group, we could have a nice defense going on.

qb im with you. im not sold on mccoy either but i think kolb would be a great fit here in cleveland with shurmur and heckert. when he was healthy he played pretty damn good. i think he had above average arm strenght. plus he has played in the west coast. but there is no way in hell any team in the NFL would give up a 1st round pick. like you said rogers and package some draft picks. competition only makes you better

Rogers, a 3rd and a 6th would be a steal for getting a potential franchise QB. We'd have to give up no less than a 2nd and 3rd, as well as a pick in the next draft and maybe a player as well to even talk about getting Kolb.

Especially when Vick may not even be re-signed after falling on his face in the WC playoffs.

I'm a believer in Kolb, and if he's available, the Browns need to make a move. I'm all for a 2nd and 3rd for him. He comes in and starts day 1, you get a WR in free agency and draft the best available CB. That's a hell of an offseason, IMO.

Dolphins hired Brian Daboll as their new Offensive Coordinator. Shocked to see he got a coordinator job so fast after how bad he's been the last two years.

Are you sure it wasn't like a pop warner team named the Dolphins? Seriously...I had a better OC in peewee than this jackwagon. Not a smart move on Sparano's part, probably have the same kind of year next year.

lolphinslol. Idiot hire of the offseason.

Also everyone is talking about bringing in a #1 WR in the offseason like its so easy. With the uncertainity of the collective bargaining agreement, many of the #1 WRs (I assume you mean Jackson and Rice) may not even be available as the team can franchise them/resign them, why would they want to come to Cleveland (overpay cough), bid against many other teams, etc... I think hoping for AJ Green in the draft is a better bet.

I agree, It's a more realistic view about getting Green, but I think you can't just give up in FA and not get a WR....

I think Mangina had as much to do with slowing down the offense as Daboll. I think his time was done in cleveland, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him succeed elsewhere.
