I'd take Blackmon. It's seeming that Skrine might be solid at the #2 corner. If they want another corner, I think there is good depth in this years draft. They could get one just about as good (Jenkins or Harris) with their second 1st round pick or even second rounder. The Browns NEED a go to guy.shook_17;1024446 wrote:i thought about that too. if that does happen it allows claborne and blackmon to possibly slide to us.

If Holmgren/Heckert fall in love with RG3 it wouldn't surprise me to see a trade UP. They wanted to do it for Bradford.

Gotta love how he says that, but they didnt try to sign anyone at all that could have at least helped the team improve on 5 wins.

That would be completely fucking stupid. Trade up 2 spots? No way in hell Holmgren/Heckert are that dumb.BR1986FB;1024454 wrote:If Holmgren/Heckert fall in love with RG3 it wouldn't surprise me to see a trade UP. They wanted to do it for Bradford.

I'm betting they are glad they didnt. He had a solid year last season, but looks horrible this year. Can't use the excuse that he doesn't have any weapons. He has Jackson and Brandon Lloyd.BR1986FB;1024454 wrote:If Holmgren/Heckert fall in love with RG3 it wouldn't surprise me to see a trade UP. They wanted to do it for Bradford.

Burfict not starting tonight for AZ.
I hope the Browns can get this guy.....we need a LB with an attitude. Just like the Steelers have Harrison.

Not a stretch if they deem RG3, or someone else, their difference maker.like_that;1024459 wrote:That would be completely fucking stupid. Trade up 2 spots? No way in hell Holmgren/Heckert are that dumb.

Which is funny because he did well with Shurmur as his O-Coordinator.Pick6;1024464 wrote:I'm betting they are glad they didnt. He had a solid year last season, but looks horrible this year. Can't use the excuse that he doesn't have any weapons. He has Jackson and Brandon Lloyd.

Sorry but they are going to have to pick up their skirts. Holmgren will be in year 3 of his 5 year deal. If this team isn't at least .500 or better, even with a much tougher schedule, Holmgren is going to start to feel heat.DeyDurkie5;1024460 wrote:they are patient and are building a team. its not a win now mentality, it's a actually draft good, and see what we have mentality. and it's going to build a winner.

Yes, I agree. Just thought it was pointless to spew that bullshit to the fanbase, especially when they knew damn well this year they were not trying to compete.DeyDurkie5;1024460 wrote:they are patient and are building a team. its not a win now mentality, it's a actually draft good, and see what we have mentality. and it's going to build a winner.
Not worth it to move up 2 slots, sorry. Especially since I know the Rams will be asking for both first round picks.BR1986FB;1024467 wrote:Not a stretch if they deem RG3, or someone else, their difference maker.
I agree with this as well. They better show improvement next year, just better not trade both their first round picks.BR1986FB;1024470 wrote:Sorry but they are going to have to pick up their skirts. I agree with both points. Just saying I wouldn't be surprised if they did it. And if they did, they had better go hog wild in free agency because the picks will be depleted.like_that;1024474 wrote: Not worth it to move up 2 slots, sorry. I would be surprise to be honest. I just think its pretty apparent how dumb that is considering the amount of needs this team has.BR1986FB;1024478 wrote:I agree with both points. You do it for Luck and nobody else.....sorry I just don't think RGIII is going to be that good in the NFL.

They could still do that and fill many of their needs in free agency but then you wouldn't be keeping true to the youth movement. Truth be told, if I have to watch McCoy's shitty ass under center another snap I may swallow a razor blade.like_that;1024480 wrote:I would be surprise to be honest. im really warming up to RGIII. dude is a playmaker, has a nice deep ball, good accuracy, and is a dual threat ala cam newton. like br said if they fell a team will jump us and they blieve rg is the guy they will trade up. not saying i agree with it but they have shown they will do it.
side note. i was really looking forward to burfect to play tonight, never watched him play, and looks like its going to be hit n miss tonight..

dude's a loose cannon - ndamakong suh syndrome. he'll definitely be a league leader in personal foul penaltiesshook_17;1024485 wrote:side note. i was really looking forward to burfect to play tonight, never watched him play, and looks like its going to be hit n miss tonight..

i think our defense needs that to an extent. im 21 obviously don't remember much before 99 but since iver been watching i have never seen a lb with attitude in cleveland, somebody to go high tempo and strike fear into the defense.dazedconfused;1024499 wrote:dude's a loose cannon - ndamakong suh syndrome. he'll definitely be a league leader in personal foul penalties

I totally agree! I'm an offensive guy, but I think this teams needs a differance maker at LB....like you said someone that other teams fear.

RGIII is a total nonfit for a Shurmur led Browns team.
He had a heart attack at the thought of letting McCoy operate out of the gun more (which he is more comfortable in) because it is not part of his system.
He would chain Griffin under Mack's ass in adherence to his system, and it would be a disaster.
I would like Griffin, but without an innovative offensive mind committed to maximizing his talents instead of chaining his hands under the center's ass it is a waste of a draft pick to take him.
This is where Shurmur's rigid inflexibility is debilitating to an organization.

I must say guys, I've watched Burfect play 3 times season and have yet to see him make a wow play. Tonight he couldn't shed a block, saw him whiff on 2 tackles and get a personal foul penalty. You get benched in your bowl game, not a good sign.
