Skrine makes Cribbs expendable on kick returns. Much faster guy with more burst.

You can....a) re-sign Hillis and use the first 1st rounder on a QB or b) use the first 1st rounder on a running back and keep McCoy

Easily A. I will be pretty pissed if they draft Richardson with their first round. Especially considering the first round pick is likely going to be a top 5 pick.

A in a heartbeat. You should never spend a 1st rounder on an RB unless he's got freakish talent (Think AP) and I just don't see it from Richardson. RB's are expendable and don't last, therefore re-signing Hillis who has proven to be a capable back and taking a potential franchise QB (Barkley, RGIII) would be the better move in the long term for the Browns imo.

Vic Carrucci interviewed Heckert tonight and here is the recap. I cut & pasted this recap from an OBR poster....

[LEFT] The Senior Bowl is best way to evaluate non top talent, because it's coached by NFL coaches. Agents usually hold back top 10 talent, to avoid injuries.

- Believes Taylor, Sheard, and Rubin are all great. Taylor is fine complement to Rubin. Sheard's always got the gas stomped to the floor. Hates getting pulled.

- Did not mention anyone playing well for us at RDE.

- Thinks Little's hands are just fine. Blames drops on having not played in awhile.

- Pinkston put in a tough spot, switching to Guard in his first season, (which he's never played.) Is certainly picking up his play, in the last couple games.

- Looks for TE Jordan Cameron to play a lot, coming up, due to other injuries.

- Thinks Skrine is showing flashes of becoming our #2 Cornerback

- Hagg is adjusting to playing more often, instead of as a nickel in college.

- We're going to be active in Free Agency

- Always looks to draft talented QB's, no matter who is on our team, no matter where in the draft. (Gave Patriots drafting Mallett, recently.)

- Believes Offensive Tackles, Defensive Ends, and Cornerbacks are hardest to find in any draft, and if they are there in early rounds, you always draft them.[/LEFT]

After this season and all the drama/injuries, I doubt the Browns will have to break the bank to re-sign Hillis. Next year they get Brandon Jackson back to be a solid #2 while Softesty plays out his contract.

I just read Todd Mcfail's first mock. What a joke. His first 10:

1. Luck (colts)
2. Kalil (rams)
3. Claiborne (vikings)
4. richardson (browns...smh)
5. Coples (Jags)
6. Kirkpatrick (buccs)
7. RGIII (dolphins)
8. Barkley (redskins)
9. Blackmon (Panthers)
10.Reiff (bills)

*He has the Browns picking Reddick (OLB from UNC) with the 24th pick.

Sorry, I just don't see 6 picks going by with only 1 QB being drafted. One of those teams(Browns) will either draft a QB or they will trade rape the redskins/dolphins. Hell if the draft falls to the Browns, and nobody has traded a pick, If i were the Browns I would trade rape the dolphins. They would only fall to 7th and still might be able to draft a QB.

Awesome, thanks for posting. I agree o OT, DE, and CB being really hard, I would also throw QB into that as well.

I agree as well, but I still wouldn't draft Coples. Not sold on him at all. He didn't have a good year this year in the ACC. Kinda reminds me of Bowers last year.

Shoutout to my cousin's mock draft. He just got hired by CBS sports solely for his draft coverage. The kid lives and breathes the draft (used to write a 300 page draft guide that Schefter once said was as good as Mel's). Can't say I'd bitch about this scenario but RG3's height kind of scares me. He's listed at 6'2" but I've heard that's VERY generous. I am starting to lean more toward him than Barkley in that he'll be a dual threat, able to run the ball. Barkley is less mobile than Colt McCoy which may not bode well with pass rushes like Pitt's & Baltimore's.

For once I'd like to see an "exciting" QB back there and I'm starting to think that RG3 could be that guy.

Like the Wright pick in that I've heard that same comparison to Wallace. As long as they don't use that first 1st rounder on Blackmon, I'd be cool with it. Pair Wright with Little, bring in a veteran WR to groom them, paired with an RG3 and dare I say this offense could be "explosive?"
