What I'm saying is that San Diego's offense was as big of a crap pile as the Browns over the past 5 weeks. Don't believe me? Look it up. If you have garbage running routes, the defense will rush the crud out of you. The same thing in Cleveland was happening in San Diego. FACT. McCoy has a higher quarterback rating at this point in his carerr than BOTH P. Manning and D Breez had...and is also miles ahead of Steve Young at the same juncture.
I've seen some really good things out of McCoy...as have other Browns fans. You seem to be blinded by Cleveland sportsitis. A rocket arm is not the only prerequisite for judging a quarterback. Montana, Tarkenton, and many other candy arms are in THOF.
When I'm "bitching" about McCoy, I'm taking into consideration his receivers drops, etc. Am I the ONLY one seeing that he's late with a lot of his throws, stares down receivers, CAN'T make a lot of throws and has DB's jumping routes because of his indecision/lack of confidence? THOSE are the reasons I don't see him as the QB that gets them over the hump.
See above...Manning, Breez, Young. They were all worse than Mc
Coy.
And "bitching" about QB's? Tell me which QB, since they've returned, that we SHOULDN'T be bitching about? They STILL haven't gotten it right.
Holcum? Especially if azzhole Northcutt doesn't drop the game winning third down pass against Pittspuke in the playoffs years ago.
If I remember correctly, it was you that trumpeted Derek Anderson's rocket arm. How did that one turn out for us?
Completely disagree on "Peyton not being able to put up 20 points with this cast." That's a bull**** cop out. Manning would make the receivers around him better or he'd tell them GTFO.
He sure couldn't do it his first 2 years in the league. And that's a fact. Too bad you weren't there to annoint Peyton a loser and had him shitcanned.
The Steelers cut Johnny Unitas in 1956. 2 years later he was the quarterback of the world champion Colts. McCoy has a long way to go. But if you hold the supporting cast blameless, then you have blinders on.
