Lot of QQing from you Durkie. Sorry but Erica Womangini had the #32 offense and the #30 or #31 defense 2 yrs while he was here. No fucking thanks on that.

and durpmurs had that his whole career. mangini didn't have that offense, daboll did. shurmur is literally running our offense, mangini didnt. so what are you comparing?

How the teams looked/performed. Under Womangini the Browns started 1-11 and were legit the worst team I have ever seen play in the NFL with the #32 offense and the #32 ranked defense. Shurmur is much better that bullshit team from 2009.

nice spin on your previous argument. once again, rob ryan, and daboll controlled those defenses/offenses. NOT mangini. This year, durpmur controls the offense and they suck.

And the offenses/defense were fucking horrendous under them. LOLFAIL. IPOTW. Both the offense and defense have been better under Shurfail and Dick Juron.

Browns quarterback Colt McCoy is seeking his first win in the AFC North. He is 0-7 heading into Thursday night's game at the Steelers.

"Trust me," he told the Associated Press. "I know my record."

McCoy made his first NFL start at Pittsburgh in October 2010, when he completed 23 of 33 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown. But he also threw two interceptions and was sacked five times.

"I can't even think back that far," McCoy said. "That was so long ago."

Hensley's slant: McCoy has the unenviable job of playing the defenses of Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati -- all of which rank in the top 10 against the pass -- twice a season. Outside the division, his passer rating is 80.3 and his completion rate is 61.1. Inside the division, his passer rating is 66.9 and his completion rate is 47.7. It's a challenge he has to conquer if he wants to establish himself as the Browns' franchise quarterback.

Putting all this on McCoy is so damn laughable. I know QBs get all the heat and all the glory, but anyone who has watched Cleveland this season has to know how pathetically bad the entire team is, especially on offense.

And just so BR doesn't think I'm somehow attached to McCoy as a player; I'd cut or trade any player on the team to develop a winner. I just can't see how anyone can honestly say they are able to accurately and fairly judge the play of a QB behind that offensive line and with the lack of playmakers around him.

That comment wasn't necessarily directed at you. There are those who seem to think that Hillis & Cribbs are the "end all, be all" when they are in fact easily replaceable.

why make more holes to fill with this team is my whole point. Everyone is replaceable in this league barring the top 1% at each position. So why make more holes to fill by taking hillis and cribbs out of there when we obviously have more important positions to cover.

Because in the case of Cribbs, he's a shell of his former self and seems to be a locker room distraction. In the case of Hillis, he's a free agent anyway. You could replace him with a Michael Bush or someone in the draft. RB's are a dime a dozen.

no way the raiders give up bush. and what happened to hardesty? the point is, they may be replaceable, but what's the point when we have LB/WR/DL/OL needs. If we waste a 1st/2nd/3rd round pick on a RB not named trent richardson, ill blow my brains out.

Here's my thoughts on our RB situation....

Hillis is the perfect kind of back for the AFC North and more importantly the Browns. We saw how he contributes to a team last season when he was healthy.

As a RB, he is easily replaceable because he has only had 1 productive season and is not in the same category as Peterson, Gore, Forte, MJD, Rice, Jackson, etc....Also rb is the easiest every down position to transfer into from college to pros.

Would I like them to keep Hillis, yes! Is he irreplaceable with a FA pickup/draft pick, no!

Hardesty is a career backup imo....and good for depth.

What I'm saying is that San Diego's offense was as big of a crap pile as the Browns over the past 5 weeks. Don't believe me? Look it up. I've seen some really good things out of McCoy...as have other Browns fans. You seem to be blinded by Cleveland sportsitis. A rocket arm is not the only prerequisite for judging a quarterback. Montana, Tarkenton, and many other candy arms are in THOF.
When I'm "bitching" about McCoy, I'm taking into consideration his receivers drops, etc. Am I the ONLY one seeing that he's late with a lot of his throws, stares down receivers, CAN'T make a lot of throws and has DB's jumping routes because of his indecision/lack of confidence? THOSE are the reasons I don't see him as the QB that gets them over the hump.

He sure couldn't do it his first 2 years in the league. And that's a fact. Too bad you weren't there to annoint Peyton a loser and had him shitcanned.

The Steelers cut Johnny Unitas in 1956. 2 years later he was the quarterback of the world champion Colts. McCoy has a long way to go. But if you hold the supporting cast blameless, then you have blinders on.

Raiders don't have much choice because he's a UFA after this season. He'll be the next Michael Turner, stepping out of the shadow of a big name, injury prone RB.

Exactly and if they don't go that direction there's plenty of talented RB's in this draft. Could get a nice one as late as the 3rd round.
