It's also being reported that 11 Ravens were injured in practice today. I'm going to say this again, Cleveland has a great chance to win the North this year. I know - Shittsburgh and Crapmore are there - but age and distractions are catching up to both. And the Bengals are in complete disaster right now. The Browns have an easy schedule and are about the only team in the AFC North that appear to be moving in the right direction.

Lane Adkins (OBR) calling "bullshit" (not his exact words) on MKC's claim...says the Browns are "close" with Edwards but nothing is a done deal.

He's going to be a Brown and he's going to make more than Johnson did in Carolina.

Fuckin' Heckert is nuts if he throws THAT kind of money at him. I know he was the 3rd most effective pass rusher in the NFL but c'mon?

Just saying - Look at the deal Johnson did get. Edwards was statisticaly better last year, and with all the contract drama thus far - I honestly believe he'll make more.

Filed to ESPN: Texans reach agreement with former Bengals CB Johnathan Joseph on a five-year deal. Nnamdi to Jets looking more likely.

I don't think he was ever really a possibility for the Browns. I believe they offered, but he - much like Edwards is doing - used that offer to command more money. The difference between Edwards and Joseph though, is more teams seemingly need solid CBs than DEs. The NFL is a pass-happy league...corners are crucial in the league.

agreed. knew the texans would go hard after a cb - especially after how bad their defense was last season

The idiots on "X's and O's" are now saying the Browns should bring in Vince Young. Dear Lord. With that - I'm done with WKNR.

Of course. Refer back to my "Jemele Hill" comment.

Really wanted Joseph. darn. We need another CB, and I don't want to overspend on Edwards.

Could be wrong, but I think if Edwards doesn't sign tongiht - he won't be in Cleveland.

Former Brown, Braylon "Stonehands" Edwards is reportedly heading to Arizona. The guy loves playin' Robin to Batman. (Holmes, Fitzgerald)

If they sign Edwards, they're going to have to overpay in my opinion.

Can't sign anything until 6pm tomorrow night anyway. This is like college "verbal commitments." That's why Heckert tries not to let this stuff leak until they are signed on the dotted line.

I understand that, but let me rephrase - If Heckart doesn't get Edwards' commitment tonight, he won't be there on national signing day. I think frustration is going to mount on Heckart's part and they'll say to hell with him.

Betnley did Tweet me and say he totally forgot about Mario Williams. I loved this guy at OSU, but I'm so damn glad he never wound up in Cleveland.
