Big game tomorrow for both teams. Both a 11-1 and in the top 15. It'd be a big road win for Georgetown to start off the Big East schedule, and for ND it'd be nice to prove themselves against a top ten team before heading to Syracuse and returning home to play Connecticut. As an Irish fan, I'd be okay with one win in the three games, but STOKED with two. The difference between 1 and 2 wins in that stretch is HUGE, but I'd settle for one seeing how it'd be a marquee win

If G'Town can keep ND off the glass they win this one going away. This game concerns me a little because the Hoyas don' really have a dominant big man, they have a committee of big's who do a very good job as a unit. ND is one of the better O-rebounding teams in the BE.

Yea, I think people overlook ND's height. The starting five is usually 6'8 across except Hansbrough who is 6'3. The three forwards they work in sometimes are 6'9, 6'9 and 6'10,and they work in a 6'6 wing. Atkins sees a lot of time at point guard too and he's 6'2. They're not necessarily the most talented or sharpest shooting team Brey has had, but they've gotta be one of the biggest teams (if not the biggest) in the Big East

That being said, the team is still kind of a mystery. I feel like they have the defense and size to play with a lot of teams, but lack the consistent offensive spark to regularly beat teams like Kentucky (who pulled away from the Irish in the second half after being down by 11 in the first)

They need to win every game at home because big east road wins are not going to come easy this year. That 3 game stretch to open conference play is ridiculous.

The key this game will be Scott. He stretches the floor and creates offensive rebounds. I like nd chance in this game. I think they win tonight lose to cuse and beat u conn

Definately a good win for ND. They have a nice team. Have some guys who can knock down some shots. Not so impressed with GT though. But give credit to ND.

Georgetown absolutely shit on Memphis, although I think Memphis is overrated. They also beat the #10 Missouri team, which is Missouri's only loss so far this season.

That said, I was rather shocked that Notre Dame handled Georgetown as much, and as easily, as they did tonight. To win their next two games would lift them to a top ten ranking, but I'm not betting it will happen.

Can someone tell me why Notre Dame is good all of the sudden? No Harangody and suddenly good?

Brey has a nice veteran team this year. They could make some noise come tournament time, too early to tell though.

LOL, I thought the Irish played better last year when Harangody was out injured.

Same thing happened last year when Gody was out with his knee injury. It opened up the court for all of the shooters because they weren't forcing the ball inside to Gody every possession. Everyone can shoot and handle the ball and its a pretty veteran group as rock pointed out.

Check my above post. When your shortest starter is 6'3 and the rest are 6'8 you end up with some mismatches in many facets... especially when 4 of those players can shoot from anywhere on the court

Lol, i've been on the "fire Brey" bandwagon a few times in the last couple years, but he is doing a nice job with this team.

Nice game tonight by ND. G'town couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat tonight. IMO ND caught the Hoyas at the right time coming off a beat down of Memphis & Christmas break & they were a little flat tonight.

As a team G'Town shoots over 50% from the field & was 42% tonight also the shoot 42% from three tonight they shot a horrible 18% tonight. IMO they aren't going to be many nights like tonight. Kudos to ND for getting the job done.

You also have to credit nd's defense also. They are a very good team defensive team. They held cal to I think it was 9 first half points earlier in the year. If nd can knock Syracuse and u conn off they will definitely be top 5 but I sadly don't see them knocking off the cuse.

I gave credit to ND also. They closed out & contested a lot of G'Town's long jumpers.
