interesting fact
the Steelers have won 19 division titles since the merger in 1970
only once did they blow the division lead in the final month
in 1990 they led by one game going into the final game at Houston and lost 34-14 against Cody Carlson and the Oilers

^^^^Yeah, they've been money over the years when it comes to closing out the division. I really think Tomlin will have these guys ready for war, plus a lot of veterans on this team who know what's at stake, have done it before and know how important it is to secure that bye week and a home game. It might end up being a be a tough game but they will pull it out.

Hearing Cody Carlson, Oilers and the early 90's reminds me of the time that Buddy Ryan tried to punch Kevin Gilbride in the face on the sideline.

It also reminds me of that time I was playing Tecmo Super Bowl as Houston and Warren Moon got hurt, so I had to use Carlson's impotent throwing numbers to try to complete passes. Nothing wasted good receivers (like all of theirs) more than using a horrible QB.

Yea, the Browns have no chance in this one, unfortunately. 28-10 Steelers.

Interesting fact: on this day in 1964, the Browns won the NFL championship.....in the BC of the Super Bowl. Young BRF was riveted to his little radio, listening and celebrating. That was in the day when the Steelers were like the Browns of today.

Browns might want to rest Hillis for the season.
No need for him to get banged up more the last game.

Ah, yes, I am sitting back and thinking about the good old days when the Steelers were crap and we owned them. I wish you young pups posting now would have been back there. Us old Browns fans live for the Retro. Until then, we have to hope for the scrap of a victory now and then, like next Sunday.
Go Browns!
P.S. - I almost started a rant about all the bandwagon Steeler fans around where I live who are losers in life, but wanted to hook up with a winner so it would ease dealing with their miserable existence.......but thought better of it.

Does Mangini keep his job if the Browns win?
Should he keep it no matter what?
Should he be gone no matter what?

You obviously don't understand how BRF have bantered back and forth online for years.
I figured only he and I would appreciate my remarks.

See thread of you cussing at LJ, let me guess? That was usual banter back an fourth over the years too?THE4RINGZ;615251 wrote:You obviously don't understand how BRF have bantered back and forth online for years.

Yes in the future I will consult with you prior to posting. Unless, of course, I post about the overly jaded term Rapelisberger. You'll give me license to use that term freely I am sure.

Cool man, no need to bring that garbage here. Do the pissing matches EVER get old for you?
Anyone know the status on Aaron Smith? Will he get some PT or just save him for the playoffs?
