Besides I think we keep blowing off the fact that this happened a couple years ago. While this does not excuse the stupidity of the mistake, it should put into perspective that this is not the Junior year Terrelle Pryor that did this. I mean all season the announcers were talking about how he was putting extra work in the film room and putting in the hard work that we generally associate with leaders. Yet, we are discrediting his leadership abilities now because of something that occurred when he was a freshman.

I'm not really letting my emotions cloud my judgment. I've never really been high on Pryor and don't think he is the QB that he thinks he is. Smith made up for his bad judgment, Pryor has continually done or said bonehead things.

It just happens that these player's biggest mistake occurred when they were younger, but since we are finding out now, we are attributing this their to present day selves instead of the selves that they were when it occurred. I know when I look back at my freshmen year compared to me junior and senior years, I see a completely different and better overall person as I got older. I'm sure this is rather common at this age yet we have different expectations with these players and forget that they go through many of the same things, albeit with much more pressure and under much more scrutiny.

Anyways, this draft is likely to be extremely deep with wide receivers and he just isn't anywhere near the top if AJ Green, Julio Jones, and Justin Blackmon enter the draft.
