Sounds like a promotion that the US Army would come up with

The more I look at it, the more I hate it. Which division is Legends and which is Leaders?

At first I thought the division names were kind of dumb, but I'm glad OSU is in the "Leaders" division because it will be fun to say things like "OSU is leading the Leaders," "OSU is the best of the Leaders," "OSU is the champions of the Leaders," and "Jim Tressel is the best coach among the Leaders."

Trophies for awards named after players and leaders? Sounds like hockey and the larger NCAA awards.

Makes since since OSU has been leading the conference for the past decade and all Michigan does is talk about their legends of bygone days.

Also Nebraska is in the Legends division. That must mean when ND joins they will go there too.

A trophy named after JoPa? Really?
So, how awkward would that be if they win it next year. Winning a trophy that has his name on it.

For most fans of Big Ten teams these will just be referred to as "our division" and "the other division." Stewart Mandel just made a comment on Twitter which is probably how most of the rest of the college football world will refer to these divisions "One's the Ohio State Division, one's the Michigan Division. Good luck remembering the rest."

The logo is decent, except for the color of blue that was used, I think. I'm not a big fan of that, but the B1G was creative.

On the name of the divisions, I think it's a good idea, but I don't think it's actually good in use. To Big Ten followers, it'll be easy to know which one is which. However, I think it'll be really confusing to those outside the conference.

Well, we all know who is going to win it in his last year now.

It's bad enough that they split up the divisions so that they're a bitch to remember who is in what, and then the names do absolutely nothing to help.

It's like the ACC - randomly split teams, name them "Atlantic and Coastal" when all of the fucking schools are Atlantic and Coastal. The rest of the country (and half of Big Ten country) will just watch Big Ten games aimlessly now and whoever shows up in the game shows up in the game because they have no idea who is where. This is how we all view the ACC for the most part.

I still think they screwed the pooch by not splitting East/West when all they had to do was add in 1 permanent crossover (or 2 if you go to 9 games) to preserve everything that needed to be, by and large. In terms of national exposure, as I mentioned, everyone's going to be completely lost and will just kind of wait and see who appears from the clusterfuck to play for the BCS berth.

Not a fan of the dual name trophies. Pick 1 name.

Coach of the year is Hayes-Schembechler

That makes sense.
