Brady Quinn by far.

Brady was a 1st rounder.....Troy was not supposed to be a good nfl qb..according to the experts.

The Browns gave up a 2nd round pick and a 1st round pick to get Quinn. That is too much for what Quinn gave them on the field.

Um....is this even a debate?

Brady Quinn was a first rounder, Troy Smith was a fifth rounder.

Brady Quinn has a losing record as a starter, Troy Smith has an even record

Brady Quinn's career passer rating is 66.8, Troy Smith's is 80.0

Brady Quinn has thrown 9 career interceptions, Troy Smith has thrown 4

Brady Quinn was coached by all world offensive schematic genius Charlie Weis, Troy Smith was not

Brady Quinn was highly touted out of high school, Troy Smith was not

Brady Quinn is a 3rd string quarterback, Troy Smith is a 1st/2nd string quarterback.

I'd say Brady's career has been much more disappointing given his expectations...

Not really up for debate... Brady Quinn has easily been the bigger disappointment. And I am not sure if you can call Troy's career a disappointment at all... he was a 5th round quarterback pick. The fact that he's at the very worst a serviceable backup quarterback means he is doing well for himself.

I just wanted opinions so the ND Homers could see what rational fans thought.

The 49ers have demoted Troy Smith and are going back to Alex Smith this week.

Curious, as I havent been on the College FBall board recently. But do people actually think Quinn has been more successful, or in the case of the question, less of a disappointment?

I follow ND, and Quinn has blown.

.....................This isnt a real topic is it?

Get the fuck outta here with this trash.

Troy Smith won the games the 49ers SHOULDVE won.

I dont take Singletarys judgement as anything as he will be fired in a few months.

Well, before the National Championship game, Troy Smith was ranked higher than Quinn on most big boards.

But, after the NC game, Troy's height and lack of accuracy became an issue all of a sudden.

Quinn's not a terrible QB, but he's never going to amount to anything. He'll be a career backup. I bet Arizona would much rather have him than John Skelton, Derek "LOL" Anderson, or Max Hall, right now. Smith is just terribly inaccurate. You never saw it at Ohio State because all he did was throw bombs down field, and hit his fast receivers over the middle of the field.

Which clearly makes Quinn the bigger disappointment, from looking at the above stats.

Did Troy Smith shrink between the UM game and the National Championship game?
