Lol...like when wings weren't a "spoiler" on a car that couldn't break 85 going down hill and the brights were on the floor.

redfalcon...great call on Conrail! My dad worked there for pretty much my whole childhood until he got hurt.

As for my contribution......

- blowing in the video games to make them work
- my brother beating Mike Tyson's Punchout and thinking he was a god
- planning to go out with friends and figuring out whose mom would take and whose mom would bring home

There is still one of these in St. Marys/Celina OH. It's in between the 2 towns on 703 if you're familiar with the area. When I go o visit my parents in the summer, always try to go to the drive-in.

I know these are still around, but they aren't as prevalent as they used to be. A drive-thru carry out. My wife is from Michigan and had never heard of one.

How about when a teenager was paid to bag your groceries and carry them to your car. Again, still happens in some places but not as common.

I am glad I live in a small town because we still have drive thru carryouts, drive in movies and bag boys that carry your groceries to the car (well my hometown still has this).

My hometown and surrounding area does as well (Midwest Ohio) I live just north of Toledo now, and you don't see that type of thing in the big city or even in the smaller areas surrounding it. I frequent a lot between Bowling Green and Detroit and haven't seen the things you mentioned, and I hate it.

It's kind of funny. In Michigan, they don't sell beer at a gas station unless it's a licensed liquor store/party store because they don't want to promote drunk driving (Exactly what was told to me the 1st time I tried to buy beer down the street)

Yet, in my hometown I can buy a case of beer and never leave my car because of a carryout. It's crazy how different things are in a relatively close/similar area.
