I had class with several of them, and every semester they squawked about how this was going to be the year they beat Mount Union. I had one professor make a bet with them. He said he'd spot them 35 points. Naturally they lost the bet, even with the points. The end of the semester was always pretty quiet :)
lol, i played in the BACF game (your from SE Ohio, so you might know of it) with some people going to play at Marietta. Probably the best player out of them was the kicker haha.

krambman;589177 wrote:Yeah. For me the difference maker will be whether or not the OSU line can put pressure on Mallet. If they can get penetration they can for him into turnovers, because he's had a few games this year where he's thrown several bad interceptions. The defense just needs to realize that he's going to put up a lot of years and that they are going to have some big plays, we just need to limit those big plays to a minimum and pressure him to force turnovers.

Ohio State fans clearly haven't watched the Hogs much. Mallet has had success even with pressure in his face. He's put up huge numbers all year long. Check the strength of schedule.

Man. You'd think with all you've seen in service to our country, watching all those Buckeye Bowl Game Busts would be too much trauma. WPS.

You've had 9 shots. How many times you gonna try to kick that ball Charlie? 10 is a charm?

Don't sweat it. When you lose, you're going to get a heaping helping of the usual smack. And you still won't have a decent response being 0 for... Just more excuses.

believer;589798 wrote:The BAD

1. This is OSU vs. SEC (even if it is Arkansas)...that's always been a bad omen. OSU hasn't beaten an SEC team since September 1988 and have never won a bowl game vs. an SEC team. Maybe this year the Buckeyes can get that SEC monkey off their backs.
2. There's way too much time to prepare for this one. These extended layoff's have never been a good thing for the Tressel-coached Buckeyes. I love Tress...just sayin'.

The GOOD

1. This one's in New Orleans - not Pasadena, Orlando, or Tempe. Unless Pryor, Chekwa, Torrence & Tressel hit Bourbon Street, there's not much else to concentrate on except the game.
2. It's Arkansas the Buckeyes are facing this time...Not Florida, LSU, or Alabama. But then again this is against a speedy team from the vastly superior SEC. So - yeah - I'm nervous.

Ohio State 35
Arkansas 31
Finally an honest Buckeye fan. You act like it 'might' be close. We score on everybody. Really who have you beaten this year to make absurd 'blowout' predictions? Who? Penn State? And your qb really needs to just be quiet. Does any qb at any level ever play great after making assinine comments like his?

This must be a legitimate inbred SEC hillbilly, because Arkansas doesn't have bandwagon jumpers, do they? You have to have won something before you get them.

norwalk;591243 wrote:I get a kick out of the LSU / tOSU talk about 2007. First of all, I believe LSU was preseason #1 and tOSU was picked for 3rd or 4th in the Big Ten so obvisously there was a difference in talent. Then, because other teams sucked that year they all fell apart and tOSU got into the championship game unexpectedly. LSU was the better team playing at home (80 miles I know, lets play in Cleveland next time we play LSU in a bowl).

SEC is the best conference but for some reason Arkansas isn't part of this elite conference. I can bet you that if they win, SEC chest thumpers will be on here in force doing their SEC, SEC, SEC chant.

And why not? 0 and 10. You'll still be crying about losing 'on the road', etc, etc, insert lame excuse here. It's really very simple. You can stop the talk with a win, or you can keep sitting in the corner crying. If it bothers you so much try winning. That's all there is to it.

Yeah Cleveland is a great place to live. Ask LeBron. Yeah these are the hillbillies that sent your 'proud union jobs' and flushed them all the way to Thailand with yellow smiley faces stamped on their a**. Read Fortune magazine? Read their list of best places to live last year and previous years? Hint NWA. The rust belt is a rotting husk--when you drive by one of those ghost towns scattered throughout Buckeye land do the Wal-mart cheer. All your peeps are doing it for 8 buck an hour and no insurance. That extra profit from overseas workers? Hint NWA.

I'm guessing that hogsfanshaker is another alter ego of the guy who does sleeper and Al Capone/Art Modell. Look at his join date. He joined this month. haha. Pretty weird that a borderline senile Arkansas fan would stumble upon Ohio Chatter during the same time that Arkansas is matched up with Ohio State

If you google Ohio State Akransas forum you will get this thread at the top of the second page. I think some Arkansas fans are capapble of using google and winding up here. This guy doesn't sound like capone, and sleeper loves OSU.

Just an observation, but he seems to be more capable of rational thoughts than a majority of the posters on here. I found it funny how someone was making a joke about how "capapble" he was. When talking about someone's "capapbility", or alleged lack thereof, you may want to make sure that you spell the word correctly.

I'm so sorry I'm just a bumpkin what doesn't understand your sophisticated city logic. (But really even residents say Cleveland outright blows) You can't beat an SEC team when it counts to save your mothers. But you claim someone who beat some of those same SEC teams this year and every year is beneath you. So if you played in the SEC, how could you make it to a BCS game with 3 losses? You say you could win in the SEC? Prove it...oh yeah 0 and 9. Sigh. Now trot out your tired 9 excuses.
