No other OCC school offers lacrosse as a varsity sport. FYI.

That award is meaningless....I say that because I would much rather have a deep run in the playoffs/tournament than win the OCC all-sports championship. I say that because we are the smallest school in the OCC (Clear Fork is bigger than us number wise) so do you honestly think we are in contention to win the OCC in every sport we offer, no. We haven't won the football OCC title since 2005 which is are only one, yet we have been to 4 regional finals and 1 state-semifinal, I'll take that all day everyday!

Wooster, Ashland, and Lexington are the three schools that have won that award and they are the three biggest schools in the conference and offer more sports.

Boys basketball stays in Division 3. Cutoff to stay D-3 was 214 boys....and we had EXACTLY that many.

Triway goes back to D-2.

Great minds think alike. I made the same comparison.

Tuslaw will join triway in DII. OCC is DI : Ashland, Wooster, Senior, & Madison, DII : Lexington, W.Holmes, & Clear Fork, with Orrville the only DIII.

Also the OHSAA says in 2012-13 they will expand from 20 to 22 games per season.

I would think it would stay the same, just would add the 2 games into a 1 game week as it is already about 12 weeks long and it starts the same weekend as the football finals, so it can't start earlier and with the tourney starting by the 1st of March you can't play later. Not all weeks had 2 games and with 12+ weeks, you would still have a few weeks with only 1 game and some teams schedules are done 10 days to 2 weeks before they play in tourney games and some places stretch sectionals out for 2 weeks before district play.

Hey Riders1 I was out your way today on my way to Kidron, thought about stopping in to see one of those padio doors you have for sale, but was on a timed mission. Maybe next time.

Yep. Same length of season, just a few more Tuesday games.

Or get into one of those holiday showcases where you play 2 games as we did in the 90's at Mckinley and Cuy.Falls.
The added games would be non-league so Tuesdays are open for local short travel games, like the WCAL teams, Tuslaw, Copley, Norton, Hiland, or a Garaway, or Canton area.

We ought to play Hiland every year...but those would be big crowds. Probably won't be realistic until our new gym is done. Any team in the NBC too.
