About 10 years ago at Homestead Jeff Burton accidentally was knocked into some crew guys when leaving his pit. Yeah it was during the race, but he wasn't going that fast. It still could have killed one of them.
One of Bill Elliott's guys was killed at Atlanta about 20 years ago. It could happen. Especially when the race is over, there is more of a chance someone is off guard.
Kyle is not man enough. Never has been, never will be.

Kyle Busch is a little bitch for what he pulled. He wanted no part of Harvick after intentionally wrecking him in front of the whole field. He might be saying he's maturing and it may seem like it, but he proved tonight he still has a long way to go. I wish he had stood up like a man but avoided Harvick at all costs. I hardly watch NASCAR anymore but caught the end of tonights race and he should be docked some serious points or even suspended for that.

I say harvick is just as liable for this. First he blocked Kyle from getting into the pits. Then stopped him from getting to the hauler. Wanted to show off and confront him for delana. Should have done it after all the race to go at him.

Not surprised at who the players are. Two of NASCAR's Top10 tools here.

Awesome race last night I was hooked from 200 to go. I wish they would put this brand out there every weekend.

Looking forward to seeing how KB2 gets punished.

He wrecked equipment, and put lives at risk.

6 race probation, docked 25 points, and a $25,000 fine sounds good.

Probation for the rest of the year, $250,00 fine, and docked 50 points. They need to send a message to him. I personally believe he needs suspended a race, but that won't happen.

I was saying $200,000 yesterday, but have they ever fined anyone that much?

plenty of times iirc.

Chiefs, 50 points is more than a race suspension.

I'm guessing Helton probation, $25k for Kyle, $10k for Harvick, no points

Fine would be okay with me. The people bitching and saying he should be suspended are the same ones who defended Kurt Busch when he tried to run over Smoke's pit crew member. I guess if you want the same old boring David Ragan types, then suspend him.

I'm guessing probation and fine as well. Forgot about the new points system. Lol

I'm saying Kyle deserves to be suspended, and you never heard me defend Kurt when he did that. You can be a hot head without being stupid like Kyle did on pit road. No excuse for that.

a great column on Smokey Yunick in today's paper. It was 10 years ago he passed away.
http://www.news-journalonline.com/columns/hey-willie/2011/05/09/renowned-mechanic-smokey-yunick-was-many-things----most-of-all-he-was-unforgettable.html
He'd chopper to work early in the morning, chopper home early evening for a bath and dinner, chopper back to the garage after dinner, chopper home again about midnight or later.
As if that wasn't noisy enough, there were the late nights when Smokey would hook a racing engine to his dynamometer and rattle all the nearby neighborhoods. Or when he'd take a late-night test drive in a newly built or rebuilt stock-car, flying up Riverside Drive toward Tomoka State Park at nearly 150 mph.

For Indy, in 1964, he built his "capsule car," with the cockpit beside the engine instead of to the front or rear of it -- got the idea from seeing a German fighter plane that chased him during WWII.

He practically invented the need for NASCAR templates by once arriving for a race with a scaled-down Chevelle. He lived by the credo, "if they don't say you can't do it, you can." (the whole car was 7/8 size)

Smokey had a soft wall for crashes way before 'the right guy was killed' and something was finally done about it.

Jr. still not fully confident. He doesn't "feel a win is close". That doesn't bode well for a team. Gotta believe you can win each and every race you go to.

"I don't feel a win is close. ... I don't know where the win is going to come or if and when it will come, but we're just going to keep working really hard and putting ourselves in position, those opportunities should be there.”
