Where are you getting someone was paid off? The Chicago Tribune ran a story saying she was raped, when she never alleged it and outside the touching of her breast, nothing else happened. Like I said when the trolls came out with their comments, the girl had a similar situation come up at another school and had been on medication for depression prior to the incident in South Bend.

Rape kit came back negative, the girl had made accusations at her previous school before transferring to St. Mary's, and the girl didn't even mention rape in her allegations at Notre Dame. I want to know why everyone in the media took an 18 year old and made him guilty before investigation. Girl's mom went into the administration building and demanded things be done, sorry not going to throw an innocent kid under the bus before everything's checked out. It's called Due Process. This has nothing to do with the fact that he'll be a solid contributer to the team or anything, I would say the same about any 18 year old. Hope his name never gets out, but I have a feeling the parents are going to have more to say before this is over.

Again, read the release I posted today. The girl didn't accuse anyone of rape and there was no evidence. She talked to several friends about it before she went in and talked to police, all of them were interviewed and none of them said anything about rape. The police did say that the girl's story and those of the people she talked to had differing stories. As athlete pointed out today and I said when this first came out, she transferred to St Mary's after a very similar incident occurred at her previous school. She was on medication for depression long before this supposed incident occurred in South Bend.
