Can we at least get a question mark in the title? Or sources saying? Or Rumor has it? This is not confirmed by anyone reputable outside of message boards

I just assumed it was true because the Rivals writers have ties with the schools. They're saying it was a grad assistant and a member of the AD staff that confirmed the story.

@schadjoe: T Martinez's HS coach, Matt Logan, told me he just spoke w the QB, who said: "Everything is fine. I haven't quit the team."

Just saying when I opened the thread I took it as fact until I looked around. No biggie just would be HUGE news

It's not confirmed until it's confirmed or until the national media reports it. Reports on a message board with connections are never enough to report it as being fact.

Yeah. According to Auburn's boards on the Cam Newton story, every other school in the SEC is in big trouble but Auburn.

The story was that Martinez was giving the trainers a hard time in the locker room when they took him there in the first half. Acting up, and not being honest with the training staff. Apparently after he was checked out and told to go back on the field, he stuck around in the locker room to send text messages back and forth with his girlfriend. So when Martinez got back to the sidelines, the Nebraska offensive drive had just started. Pelini lit him the fuck up after the trainers informed him what had happened and that TM probably should have been on the field to start that drive if he wasn't dicking around.
If true he deserved to be scolded like that. Some might argue to do it another time, off camera, but that isn't Pelini. He'd get in his grandma's face at Thanksgiving dinner if he didn't approve of the stuffing. That's how he rolls - love it or hate it.

I didn't like Bo's constant bitching at the refs last night, but I have 0 problem with this.
Taylor Martinez did some dumb shit from the sounds of it and deserved a good ass chewing.
And Trueblue, a coach screaming in your face and poking you in the chest is nothing new. It happens in football all the time...

If you thinking getting yelled at and "poked" in the chest is a big deal then you don't play sports or are some kind of inner city league guy.. that happens out in the sticks.
I have no problem with either video. McCarron is Saban's boy next year.. gotta get him ready.

If what he did was true, then he deserves everything he gets, and then some. Hell, if I'm in charge, I consider kicking him off the team. At that point, he just showed me where his priorities are and what's more important, and he abandoned his football team.

Very smart move by Martinez. Another team will snatch him up in a heartbeat. Fire Bo now for making Nebraska a loser once again.
Memo to coaches keep your hands off players. Raising you voice is one thing bullying by poking in the chest, well you just lost a great talent. Respect goes both ways and Bo needs to learn it and now he is learning the hard way by having to put an inferior player in at Qb LOL.
Glad Ohio St has Tressel who respects other humans and does not poke them in the chest.

He played for 3 different high school teams because he wasnt happy and quit on Nebraska before or during camp before, so this wouldnt be a huge shock.

That was bad? Should have seen my HS and college coach. Both would have been considered abusive if what Pelini did was out of line. This is big boy football, people need to grow up.

do city leagues go as crazy on players as coaches out in the country.. many people think this would be normal or not normal pending on the type of coaches. with city coaches being more in the spotlight they might not be as hard on players

I thought Cornhuskers were tougher than that. A poke in the chest is absolutely nothing. And why does this pussy have a cell phone with him in the trainers room during a game in the first place?
