My guess is they try and spread us out forcing us to use more db's (Rice and Inflield) like what Elyria Catholic did. I look for them to see who is matched up on these two guys and try to get some big plays.
Marc Geraci looks to be like their go to man, they get him the ball a lot of different ways (like our Turner) Lb's need to be ready for him out of the backfield and into the flats. The 6'5" kid reminds me of the TE from Elyria Catholic that had somewhat of a big game against us (cause of the matchup).

After 126 posts, I just noticed that the thread title says "Week 4"! Ha ha. I'll see if we can fix that.

Should we fix it or leave it? I already sent in the request. I can cancel it. (And, in the process, I turned in Bloody Toothbrush for being mean to me!...ha ha!)

I just read a staff e-mail from the AD's office saying that we are the Home team. Is this correct? Pre-sale tickets are $8 and $10 at the gate.

thanks..size seems similar. our biggest kid is 240lbs that starts, so it seems both teams are alike upfront. should be a great game. that is why it is the final 4.

We are home team since were at the top of the bracket. That's the scientific way of doing it.

Yep. Fewest mistakes will win. One observance: either Chagrin has got it cranked up and is heads above everybody, or, competition has been down a bit. There last 6-7 games including tournament have not been close except for the 22-7 first round game. I know it always bothered me in the past when the Riders would start walking thru the opponents because eventually you are going to be in a battle. Personally I like the fact we have had three tough games in the playoffs. Of course, I wouldn't be moaning if we had blown everyone out! We have not been that team this year. We get a lead and we eat clock. Gonna be another fun night! It does look lke we are on top of the bracket from here on out. That means Home team and Red on Red!

I believe Geraci has been out the last few weeks and won't play. Here is a link to the Tigers roster. http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/5QtQb4xE-U64qxsweJTRVw/chagrin-falls-tigers/football/roster.htm
From the PD article on the Manchester game.
Bradley Munday continued his impersonation of the injured Marc Geraci and then some. The 5-8, 155-pound sophomore caught four passes for 123 yards and one touchdown, a 74-yard catch and run that gave Chagrin a 12-0 lead midway through the first quarter as Chagrin filled the air with footballs and the Panthers couldn't stop them.

Well that's a shame if that is true, I hate playing a team a full strength cause their will always be the doubters. I wish him a quick recovery.

Opps got to be a faster I guess...

Just looking at all the brackets and at least all 6 divisions will have 1 public school and as of now 4 divisions will have a parochial with St Ed's and Lake Catholic the only DI and DII parochials left, so it looks like a strong possibility of a public against a parochial in all the finals this year. Just wondering if that has ever happened before?
Just bored with only 1 CG fan and he hasn't been nasty to pick on.

Anyone know what the over/under is on how many times we are referred to as the Red Raider by the media this week?

Does nobody give you guys respect down there? I will call you Red Riders!! The Tigers have been red hot as of late. The 22-7 game was played with the whole 2nd half under a blanket of snow. You couldn't even see the green turf or any of the lines. I don't think they completed a pass all game against Garfield. Honestly, I believed their game against Lakeview would have been much closer. However they blocked a punt, returned a punt for a TD and returned a int for TD in 1 qtr. I guess it is safe to say they are well balanced and opportunistic. They take care of the ball. This should be a great game. This is the 11th playoff game for the seniors in the last 3 years so I doubt they will be rattled.

That is an impressive run for a senior class, very impressive. I was not implying that they would be "rattled" just maybe complacent a bit. These are kids anyways, but with that kind of veteran bunch I don't see that as issue. I remember seeing the highlights now that you mention it of that week with the snow. Nothing new for you guys. haha. I was surprised to see us as the Home team. I thought earlier when we all checked we would be the away team until finals? Oh well. I imagine with the play off run as of late Chagrin will bring a good crowd? We are so so. Cold weather will keep some at bay and then there is that annual "Home for the Holidays" downtown. Any chance we could bump that to Saturday night?
