I could see InfoCision (U. of Akron) as well. Seems a little more central, and since Akron essentially hasn't played football there yet this year (0-11), they could use something remotely interesting that will draw an attendance of higher than 5 in the Rubber City, lol.

Brian Robiskie's high school...that's about it. haha

They will have athletes, and if I remember correctly they ran the spread offense last year in the state title game.

Way to be "Johnny on the spot" and get this one started, OrrvilleQB! Atta boy! BRF is happy happy happy!

I am going to guess the game will be played at Fawcett. But, wherever, BRF and contingent will be there!

I think this game will be at Fawcett, Glenoak, CCC, or InfoCision

Sonny Geraci of The Outsiders musical group ( whom only a few of us will remember a song like "Time won't let me") has a son on this team and they were in the finals last year. After beating Ottawa Glandorf in the semis they lost to Alter in the final.

Kettering Archbishop Alter will try to defend its state championship and complete an undefeated season in the Div. IV title game against another 14-0 team in Chagrin Falls. Archbishop Alter bested Steubenville 21-6 last year for its first state championship and has cruised to the state final game in 2009, winning its 14 games by an average of 28 points.

Making its first state title game appearance, Chagrin Falls enters the game after a thrilling 20-14 victory over Ottawa-Glandorf in the state semifinals. After scoring the go-ahead touchdown with under four minutes remaining, the Tigers’ defense held Ottawa-Glandorf out of the endzone after the Titans drove to the Chagrin Falls 19-yard line.

Chagrin Falls brings an experienced team to Canton with 18 of its 22 starters being seniors. The Tigers rely on a balanced offensive attack led by senior quarterback Chris Trinetti, senior running back Chris Gorman and junior receiver Marc Geraci. The southpaw Trinetti has thrown for 22 touchdowns, 11 of them to Geraci, and ran for another 13, while Gorman has gained over 1,700 yards on the ground.

Archbishop Alter uses its big offensive line to primarily move the ball on the ground with junior quarterback Zane Pitzer, and running backs Cody Taulbee, Justin Winters and Nolan Wilson. The Knights make it tough on opposing offenses as well as they only allow 6.7 points a game and have recorded five shutouts during the season.

Division IV – Kettering Archbishop Alter 37, Chagrin Falls 7
Canton Fawcett Stadium – Saturday, December 5, 11:00 a.m.

Kettering Archbishop Alter Downs Chagrin Falls 37-7 for Second Straight State Title
Knights Defense Dominates in Div. IV Championship Game
CANTON, Ohio – Top-ranked Kettering Archbishop Alter used a suffocating defense and a strong ground game to claim its second consecutive Division IV state title and complete an undefeated season after downing third-ranked Chagrin Falls 37-7 Saturday at Canton Fawcett Stadium.

Leading 9-0 at the half, Archbishop Alter fumbled on its opening drive of the second half, which Chagrin Falls turned into a five-yard touchdown run by senior running back Chris Gorman to pull within two points. The Knights responded by dominating the rest of the game, exploding for 28 points to pull away for the victory.

The Alter defense, allowing just over six points a game all season, was the story in this game. The Knights defense held Chagrin Falls, who averaged 33 points entering the contest, to 144 total yards, allowed only seven first downs, forced five turnovers, and had an interception return for a touchdown by senior defensive lineman Thomas Armstrong. Senior defensive back Nolan Plate led the defense with nine total tackles, while Armstrong had 6.5 and two sacks.

Offensively, the Knights were led by senior running back Cody Taulbee, who rushed for 126 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns. Alter averaged 5.5 yards per rush and racked up 210 of its 318 total yards in the second half.

In its first state title appearance in school history, Chagrin Falls suffered its first loss of the season to finish 14-1. Despite five turnovers by the Knights, Chagrin Falls was unable to move the ball, converting only five times on 17 third or fourth downs.
