Anyways...should be interesting how the penguins close out the year. With their lack of goal scoring it might be hard to hold on to 4th let alone catch philly.
With a three-point lead with four games to play (five for TB), I think the #4 spot is reasonably secure. If Tampa was super-hot, I'd be worried, but even after last night, they're only 4-3-3 in their last 10 (11 points), compared to Pittsburgh's 6-4-0 (12 points). Especially considering Pittsburgh's final four opponents are against four the five worst teams in their conference. To put it simply, if they fall to fifth with their remaining schedule, they're in BIG trouble coming into the playoffs because either (a) they're horribly slumping or (b) Tampa just got super-hot.
I don't look at catching Philly as being realistic. If they'd won that recent game with them, yes. But now...they're 4 points behind with 4 games to go, with Philly having one more game to play. They'd have to run their schedule and the Flyers would have to completely collapse.
