Oh and out of this awesome win streak you guys have going, 7 teams aren't in the playoffs and 3 are tied for last in the east. Granted it's hard for win 11 in a row...but i'd be impressed if i saw boston, washington, or philly in there as part of the win...not crap teams like toronto, buffalo, florida, etc etc. Let's see what happens on the 14th against philly.

Caps were first in the NHL last year and look where that got them....

I'm sure you were this much of a fan too in the early 2000's when the team was almost relocated. It's okay, bandwagons always have room for one more.

I have my Kovalev jersey hanging in the closet from the early 2000s.

Keep in mind, the Pens have been red hot, winning 11 in a row, and Malkin and Staal (two of their big guns) haven't been much of a factor. Staal no factor since he's been hurt the whole time.

I had Lemieux and Jagr jerseys well before that. Kovalev was good for the Pens. I liked watching him play. No defense but highly skilled.

The early 2000s were not that bad actually. In 2001 I believe Lemieux came back and they made the conference finals. That was the year they beat Buffalo on the goal by Kasparaitis.

They went into a slide after that.

That was an awesome series against Buffalo.

Pens were down 3-2 at home and were down by a goal with a minute left in regulation and Lemieux scored. Then Straka scored in OT to win Game 6.

They went to Buffalo and won Game 7 on Kaspars goal in OT.

Well lets see, the Caps can't play defense at all.

As for Bandwagoners, yes there are a lot of them but I'm not one of them. I've got a Lemieux, Jagr, and Kaspiraitis jersey (unfortunately I got those jersey's as a kid).

I still have some souvenir cups from games I went to in the 80s when Lemieux was just starting out. They had guys like Doug Bodger and Rob Brown.

As for the Pens playing in Buffalo, they're a -3 at home which is terrible.

Apparently COA doesn't watch too much hockey as the Pens beat the CBJ 7-2.
