Jeffrey and Tangradi on the 4th line doesn't make any sense.
Rupp has been playing really well and not that they aren't good players, but Jeffrey and Tangradi haven't been up that long from the Baby Pens. The guy who should be sitting is Godard or at least give him minimal ice time.

Pens win again. This time 3-2 over the Buffalo Sabres. Pens trailed 0-2 early in the game but rallied to get the victory. Awesome.

I don't know what you have against Mike Rupp but he played another solid game last night and the fact that he can fight with the best of them tells me he's not going sit any time soon.

They were the best third line in hockey, well you can now say they're the best second line in hockey. Who knows where Pittsburgh would be without the outstanding play of Staal, Cooke and Kennedy:

I don't mind him. I just want to know why Bylsma loves him so much, just like last year with Fedetenko

Not good. I was only hoping for a few days so the CBJ wouldn't see him.

I think Rupp is playing a lot better than Fedotenko did last year and he's a big physical player, almost an enforcer who can also score goals.

Sucks about Malkin, he will be out a long time with that injury. Let's hope the boys can keep this streak going until Sid gets back.

The Pens are in Washington to take on the Caps tomorrow at 12:30. A win would be a nice way to start off Super Bowl Sunday.

Big day later today with the Craps and then the Super Bowl. Hope it's a great day for Pittsburgh on both fronts.

The one good thing about Malkin, is that he went down before the trade dead line. Kovalev would be a good catch.

It all depends on which Kovalev decides to play.

I don't know about Kovalev, the guy's a headcase and his best years are behind. If Ray Shero can get him on the cheap then I'd say yes but I wouldn't give up any high level prospects for him.

Also, there's no way Shero deals Malkin, the guy has won an Art Ross and a Conn Smythe. You just do not replace that kind of talent. Malkin's been hurt the last two years, IMO he's had multiple injuries that no one outside of the organization knows about. Besides the knee injury, I think they need to sit him until he is fully healthy from head to toe.

As for Crosby, there's no need to rush him back. If the Pens want to hoist another Stanley Cup they'll need a fully healthy #87 to do so.

If they can get some of Malkin's millions off the books by putting him on IR a trade of some sort is a necessary. Currently this team has a severe shortage of proven centers so I don't know who's gonna pass to RW Kovalev. He's getting up there in years. I'd hate to trade young talent for someone that old.

Thing is with Kovalev is that, if he plays with a highly skilled forward he plays exceptionally well.

Great win for the caps, especially coming off a win over TB. Back to back tough wins. Caps continued their winter classic dominance over the penguins today with a 3-0 win. If it wasn't for a lackadaisical shoot out loss to the pens earlier in the year, the caps would be leading this series 3-0. If they meet in the playoffs I look for the same type of dominance.

Penguins lost and a steeler loss in the same day, I'm sure some wrists were cut open yesterday...

Also, picking up Kovalev sounds a little desperate. Put Malkin on IR and bring in a rental player like Hossa for a playoff run. Maybe you guys will be knocking on M. Satans door next haha
