I'm confused on the Field Hockey thing - is he allowed to play because there is no male field hockey team? Are there other opportunities/sports for a male to play (just not field hockey)? For example, if a school has a football team for boys and a volleyball team for girls as their only fall sports, would boys be allowed to play volleyball since the school didn't offer boys volleyball?
I believe no, because there are men's programs out there competing. For field hockey, no such men's league exists.
