1 If you are gay, can you actually request a female and will the actually comply?
2 I am sure more than a few straight guys will be claiming to be gay if this is true, does the TSA not actually foresee this as an issue?
Would I be at risk for a harassment dealie if I claimed to be gay to get a female and then said something like, "You can inspect my shit all day long babe if it'll save America!"? Just because if I had to fly and got this sort of inspection, the odds of me entering SLEAZY ASSHOLE MODE probably skyrocket.

Lol they can do instant x rays at airports now but we still make people wait about an hour in the ER for their x rays.

I really don't understand all the hoopla over this. All they are trying to do is keep us safe. If you don't like it then don't fly. I don't feel that either the x-ray or the tap down is an invasion of my privacy. People just like to complain...nuff said. Get over it people.

However, the Alan Cox Radio show was talking about a GREAT idea...at least for the bomb portion of flying safety. They need to invent a bomb proof chamber that everyone has to step into. Once in, a signal is emitted that would instantly make any bomb explode. I bet after the first one, there wouldn't be anymore bombs brought on planes. Plus they talked about paying the cleaning person some ridiculous amount...imagine cleaning that up...fun stuff.

All they are trying to do is give us the illusion that they are making us safe. If someone shoves some C4 up their ass this isn't going to detect it. What's next, everyone gets a cavity search before flying?

Every morning I walk out my door I'm at risk of getting shot, hit by a car, etc. Why isn't the govt doing anything to stop these risks?

The TSA isn't helping the American public have a good feeling about the government.

I hope this Opt-out day is effective on the 24th. I have a feeling it won't be, though.

I flew down to Fort Myers to sell one of my golf franchises last week. At Port Columbus I went through the xray screenig process. A lady TSA official was viewing the monitor. Seriously, it made me feel very uneasy. I didn't realize you can opt out of that and instead request the pat down security measure. I'm going to Scottsdale in 2 weeks and I won't do the exray screening again. Done with it.

Someone has never read 1984.

Just because they say they are doing something to make us safe doesn't mean it isn't a breach of privacy and it certainly doesn't mean it actually does make us more safe.

They've apparently conditioned plenty of people into accepting this bullshit.

Ben Franklin said it best:
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
