lolololololololololololololololol i like how spread disappears when hes blatantly wrong. ohio can you present some type of evidence that supports brookfield is d6, this isnt judge judy. anyways lets go, can you give the breakdown of division opponents this year for campbell. i dont know what every division these teams are.

I was off with one div 6. I thought edgewood was also div 3 but i was wrong. Also Guys i have learned that if Big_Dean says something to be fact he researches before he says what he wants. That's why i ask a question and if he answers then I'm positive its right. That's why i have said before he is the Campbell Guru.

Has anyone heard anything about Girard. Someone said they are refusing to do interview as of yet?

If u watch the brookfield thing on myvalleysports Randy clark their head coach specifically says it good for us that we moved up to division 6 this year gives us a more realistic shot at getting to the postseason thats what i based my opinion off of.

reddevil90, first of all thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. I really get into high school football and I like to know as much as possible before the season starts. It makes it that much more fun for me. And oldschoolreddev is the man to listen to regarding the X's and O's of the game. He was a great player at Campbell and knows his stuff. No, I am not telling anyone who he is.

Ashtabula Edgewood dropped from D-3 to D-4 this year. I have heard nothing about Girard. But I expect them to be tough as usual. I just received my copy of JJ Huddle's preview magazine. And there is nothing listed regarding Girard except for their 6-4 record last season. Campbell got all of one sentence. Here is what they printed: "The Red Devils drop down from D-4 this season and will ride standout senior RB Ja'les Hughes (5-10, 160) who carried the ball 231 times last year for 1,601 yards and 17 TDS." The staff also predicts which schools will be playing in week 11 and after. I will not post that here. Here's my take on all of this. Let's worry about week one. So much can change from week to week. Mineral Ridge is on my mind right now.

Ohio, the OHSAA is usually correct. But who knows for sure. For now, I will ride it out as Brookfield competing as a D-4 school this season on the basis of the OHSAA classification.

lol... Campbell has been D5 for a little over two months. Their conference and the majority of the schedule was set in place years ago, when Campbell was D4. You act like they'll be outmatched every week, and like they made the schedule after they dropped down to D5. You're whole argument is based on a ridiculous concept that Campbell is weaker than everyone.

East Liverpool (D3)

**Lakeview (D4, won the AAC White last year)

Struthers plays up once, down five times (all conference games), and even four times.

They play the thre best teams in the AAC Blue, Liberty is coming off their worst record in over a decade, and Lakeview has made the playoffs each of the last nine years.

Like I said before, by your logic, Campbell should go 2-8 this year, despite having better talent and coaching than 90% of their opponents. How many playoff teams did Campbell play last year? Struthers played five in 2010, and it was one of their weakest schedules in years... Campbell played one... three if you count the two playoff games.

For a D5 team, South Range's schedule is much more difficult.

Stop worrying about the Divisions, and worry more about the quality of their opponents. Campbell could go 8-2 this year, and they're likely on the road again in week 11.

Struthers could go 6-4 and still make the playoffs, even though it'd be a long shot.

no thats not my logic at all...like i said i just think its quite funny that a team that plays one bigger school is telling a school that plays 8 larger schools their schedule is weak. we are a d5 school , the state says were d5...thus we are d5. we were d4 last year plain and simple. we had some kids who moved into the district but they played in the band and it hurt our numbers and some other kids that moved in but didnt play sports so we really shouldve been d6 lolololololololololololololol spread i sounded just like you lololololol 8>1 plain and simple...and i didnt have to go to a catholic school to learn that. and if you think your going 6-4 in d3 in that region and getting into the playoffs with that schedule you are really really mistaken. not a chance. youll prob sneak in at 8-2...if you want to compare campbell and south range's schedules then you should look at other d3 schools schedules. i guarantee they play up more than once and i will guarantee they dont play down 5 times. its just very difficult to make the playoffs with this strategy.

Younger Hughes didn't get kicked off the team for any disciplinary problems. He played in there last game.

I hear a lot of good things. We have kick and punt. We are suppose to have a better then the last 20 years defense. And we have some size on offence. And of course we have Ja'les. Smith will be key on how good the defense is. Rushton will be also key on both sides. I say with Mineral ridge being weaker then last year. they have two returning starters from last year. and a complete new and inexperienced young line both ways. That game we should see more Passing then anything to see how they perform with Reyes. Ja'les will get carries also to see how blocking is. But after that we are heading into a long hard 4 game stretch on the road with some really good teams. And that will be where we will see Ja'les more. I see Campbell Using Ja'les more through the weeks till we find a passing rhythm. More of a power running offence. Shades of Rozum offence. It will truly be up to Reyes to lead this team to the playoffs and beyond. He will have to catch on Quick cause there is not a really only one tune up game. If Reyes can turn his experience of playing on a very good JV team into the varsity level we could make a good run this season.

If your quoting me then i'm sorry!! That is what i heard and went on that by a friend. If not then these rumors are just that Rumors. I hear La'Trel is very gifted athlete. If he is then i'm sure he and Ja'les will be doing some high flying acts this year. I'm really Pumped about This team. A lot of great great Talent. Also the Future is very good also.

Struthers most likely won't get into the playoffs at 6-4, but 7-3 yes. They play down because of the conference they're in. They can't do anything about that really. And Campbell plays UP because of their tier of the conference!
Campbell plays many BAD teams. It doesn't matter what division they're in, the teams are still BAD. Won't get you computer points. Do you understand what computer points are memorial? I doubt it. If Struthers scheduled a bunch of d 2 and d3 astubula teams, i would have a problem, because those teams are BAD. Jefferson BAD. Conneaut BAD. Edgewood. BAD. The list goes on. By your logic Ursuline would be like 3-7 this year. Are you slow? Its okay, i wouldn't expect any less from you.

Struthers isn't the only team in D3 that plays down more than they play up. Hubbard and Salem.

If they go 6-4, I don't expect them to get into the playoffs. 7-3 may get them the 7 or 8 seed. They could go 6-4, beat Girard, East Liverpool, East, Lakeview, Hubbard, and Campbell, and they could sneak in as an 8 seed with a lot of help... it's highly unlikely though... not impossible.

Who do you want them to play? If they played up 8 times like Campbell does, their schedule would look like Mooney and Ursuline's. D5 and D4 schools are much more common around here, than D2 and D1 schools.

D1: Boardman, Fitch, and Harding... don't look for Struthers to play any of them any time soon, not in football at least. With Fitch joining the AAC Red, Struthers plays Fitch in everything else beginning this year.
D2: East, Canfield, and Howland... Struthers plays them all next year.

Everyone else is D3 and under. The only local public in D3 that does play up more than they play down is Poland (up four times, down once). The area is full of D4 teams... not many D1 and D2 teams. Struthers playing Howland and Canfield is about the same as Campbell playing Poland and Hubbard. I'd be surprised to see that... especially Campbell vs. Poland.

If you want to keep playing the Divisions card, go join the ITCL...

I wouldn't call Brookfield an easy win. I like Campbell, but I think it will be closer than a lot of people think.

Lakeview made the playoffs in 2010, 2009, and 2007. They finished 9th in Region 9 in 2008 (7-3), finished 13th in Region 13 in 2006 (5-5), finished 17th in Region 9 in 2005 (7-3), finished 15th in Region 9 in 2004 (6-4), and finished 12th in Region 9 in 2003 (6-4).

I was wrong. They haven't had a losing season since 2002 though (4-6).

Dang!!! I was counting on them giving a DIV 5 team some Div 3 level 1 points. Cause Ashtabula Edgewood is about to give hardly anything in level 2 points!! But still a Div higher level 1 points. See that's the school i don't understand we picked up over Salem. we should have went and try to pick up JFK or Poland Or anyone from the old MVC!!!! I grew up think and feeling that the MVC was the most dominant conference and brutal one to boot!!!

JFK is D6... not many L1 points to be had there. They wouldn't get you many L2 points either. Not the same JFK as we're used to.

Yup i seen that after writing that. But playing them would still be fun - points. But I'm up to playing any old MVC team.....

Look guys i don't care who has a better schedule or where the points are at this point!!! lets get the season started. Cause on Aug 26 2011 It's Football Time In Campbell.
