Great then they'll have Four Loko parties this weekend and we'll have to hear about a bunch of 18 year old girls being rushed to the hospital because they don't know how to drink.

It's cool, great, trendy and totally supported when there's bans on cigarettes/other smoking.

But let one alcoholic drink get banned...

Confused. In what area is it illegal to purchase cigarettes?

Now, I didn't say anything about purchasing.

Then your statement is invalid. The ban on Four Loko is the selling of.

Besides, I don't think we need to rehash the difference again.

It is not invalid. The rehash should never end, if not here, in the courts or a political office. Banning is banning, no matter the method or issue. When precedent is set, it slides on down and spreads out to other areas.
I don't have a problem with the people of a state voting on an issue like this. It's our right. The people in the state of Washington should have had their voices heard regarding whether they want FL legal.
If they want a nanny state, then nothing will be heard about this again from them. If they have huge problems with this, then the argument will continue and it won't just end here.

Besides, this thread is precisely the type of thread that invites people not only to bitch/complain/laugh about the situation, but also a chance to explain WHY they have their reactions. If you do not want to go over this again, then don't participate, or at least ignore whatever I post. It matters not to me.
I however think this is very interesting and involves a great deal more than a cut and dried situation, long term. Hence, why I participated, which I'm allowed to do, seeing as how I'm not breaking any rules to do so.

This thread isn't about Ohio's smoking ban.

I believe your argument to also be invalid. One item is restrictive in sale to adults. One item is limited on use in public causing harm to others.

By the way, I'm not saying I agree with the ban. Just didn't think your comparison was valid.

They are taking out the caffine taurine and guarana. Stoopid sorority girls had to ruin it for everyone else.
