Official word from the AD's office:

This Friday night (Nov. 12th) the Red Rider football team will be playing Elyria Catholic in the 2nd round of the Division IV playoffs. The start time for the game is 7:00 p.m.

This game will be played at Medina High School.

Ticket information is:
Ticket sales will begin Tuesday at Noon through Friday at 3:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold from the Orrville High School Athletic office and Carmichael Sports.
Presale tickets are $7.00 while tickets at the gate are $9.00. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance because Orrville Schools receive 12.5% of presale money.
Maps will be available at the time of purchase.

I thought all games were at 730 for Friday night play off games? Is that 700pm start for sure BRF?

OHSAA has all Fri @ 7:30 and Sat @ 7:00 unless noted and it is not noted, so it should be 7:30

I copied and pasted that from staff e-mail out of the AD's office. I was also surprised. I am going to guess that it is a mistake.

Best of luck Orville!

A Genoa-Orville rematch in the region 14 finals would be pretty sweet, but first things first. I'm afraid Genoa's going to have their hands full with Clear Fork this week. Hopefully both our teams will make it to week 13.

But you know it would never happen because you would need a crow bar or "jaws of life" to get the microphone out of that guy's hands! :-)

Anyhow....BRF will be doing his part through the week to help prepare our boys for this upcoming game.

Maybe we should call WEOL 930 am and tell them to announce it :) By the way they will have this game on Friday night to hear a different set of announcers than the locals, it should come in real well in Medina and WQKT signal is sometimes hard to get.

Not saying anyone would or wouldnt be a good PA person...but Kent does fine. I dont need some over-the-top homer with a microphone. Kent gives the info and let's it lie with that.

Just my two cents.

I think homers are irritating--Triway's is the worst. I think Kent is one of the best. He might be boring to some (I never thought of it that way), but it puts the focus where it ought to be. He won't embarrass us.
