Do they even invite 5 anymore to the presentation? Last few years have been only 3 haven't they?

They invite based on the number of votes players receive. Minimum of 2 , max 5. Probably only be 3 or 4 this year.

1 Gerhart - 1700 yards rushing and 26 TDs - Should be running away with this
2 McCoy - Good not great stats on great team

3.Tebow - Average stats on best team
4. Ingram - Laid an egg against Auburn and will agianst Florida in the SEC title game, he will fall fast.

1) McCoy (mostly as a make up, he should have won last year)
2) Gerhart (almost no chance of winning it's McCoy-Tebow)
3) Tebow (could win, the media loves him)
4) Ingram (blew his chance with 32 yds. on 16 carries Sat.)

If it was based on the FreeHuddle opinion, this would be the result: (note, 5 points for 1st place, 4 points for 2nd place, 3 points for 3rd place, 2 points for 4th place, 1 point for 5th place - everyone with at least 3 nominees listed got included)

Colt McCoy - 100 points (14 1st place votes)
Toby Gerhart - 95 points (8 1st place votes)
Tim Tebow - 52 points
Mark Ingram - 40 points
Case Keenum - 10 points
Golden Tate - 4 points
Kellen Moore - 3 points
Freddie Barnes - 1 point
C.J. Spiller - 1 point

If the damn thing is really about the best player "this season" and not about who can hang around long enough to accumulate the most 3 yd TDs in history.
