And just so you know, he sold a total of 35,490 tickets during that six show stretch. I'll do the math for you...that's an average of 5,915 people per show. Basically...he fell way short of the 12,000 people a night that you claim he had on that tour, and actually didn't even sell out the theater.

You should feel pretty stupid now.

Six shows is a tour???

So you stats don't mean shit

Comedian George Lopez ranks second on the Hot Tours list based on totals from his December performances at the NOKIA Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles (Dec. 18-20, 26-27 & 29). Grosses totaled more than $2.5 million for the six-show run with a combined attendance of 35,490. Lopez has played multi-show engagements at the 7,100-seat L.A. venue during December for the past three years bringing in over $9.2 million at the box office. Just prior to this past December's run, he was inducted into NOKIA Theatre's Hall of Fame, the first artist to receive that distinction. He was honored as the first artist to appear at the venue for a total of 20 shows, selling over 100,000 tickets in the process.

You said 12,000 people per night. I showed you 6 shows (the biggest six show stretch of the tour) that proved that he sold around 5,000 tickets per show.

100,000/20 = 5,000

5,000 != 12,000

Thanks for making yourself look stupid. It makes it easier for me since I don't even have to work to do it.

Do you honestly think he really performs for 12,000 people a night? The Nokia is one of the bigger theaters...and it seats 7,100. And when comedians perform in the theater setting, they only do one show a night. It's not like the comedy clubs where there is an early show, then a late show. How many theaters actually hold 12,000 people? Not many.

Los Angeles is an area with a larger population of hispanics than most other areas. I'm sure it has something to do with the inflated numbers. I'm sure he wouldn't sell 5000 tickets anywhere around here. When you're a comedian with a centralized style, like Lopez, you cant sell out everywhere. I actually think him becomming mainstream killed his material. When he wasn't constantly in the spotlight he was funny. He's a broken record of the same tweaked hispanic jokes anymore.

Dane Cook has excellent ticket sales and he has been known to steal jokes from, you guessed it, Louie CK. Ticket sales don't reflect how good a comedian is. Comedy is actually opinion based the way I see it. I like this guy, but not him, I like that guy better. Relateability is another key. Comics more people relate to are usually the most successful.

I like Chrostopher Titus too. Very unique comic. I can relate to his materail too.

OH MY GOD I had to resurrect this thread because I didn't catch it the first time around (and I happened to mention George Lopez as the worst comic ever in another thread). This is unbelievable. Not only does someone ACTUALLY think that George Lopez is the bees knees, they are willing to argue with people that clearly know more than them about comedy. That is quite a sad state to find yourself in. I mean, what one person considers funny is not quite what someone else considers funny so normally I'd be willing to let this slide if it weren't for the fact that he considers everyone else's opinion to be utter bullshit because he is SO RIGHT!!! Wow. Just unbelievable.

Oh and George Lopez blows. Justin Bieber is selling out arenas right now, that does not make him a better musical act than some random band that plays in front of 120 people every night in some dive bar.
