Yes it would...we forget that every person playing is a professional athlete, and are there for a reason. We just notice the consistent players in the league.

going to be a lot of these types of games on the road this season. the team approach can and will work at home with the fans almost willing them to victories they probably shouldn't win, but on the road you need a go-to-guy and we just don't have that now after ours skipped town. i'm sure we'll get toronto some time down the line at the q the same way they got us tonight because neither team has a reliable go-to-guy to compete on a nightly basis away from home

at least we got manny harris and samardo samuels some burn

Come on. Be realistic here and not a doosh. The Raptors are awful and we never should have lost by 20. It was a terrible performance, but if anything I hope it serves as a wakeup call that even though we beat the Celtics, we can't sleepwalk against anybody because we're not talented enough to.

Honestly, I think we are going to see the Cavs struggle a lot on the road and be a slightly better than .500 team at home.

Are some of you really questioning if the Raptors are going to be bad this year? Their best players are Andrea Bargnani, Demar DeRozan, and Linas Kleiza.

Take your blinders off for a few minutes

pretty sure they just missed the playoffs last year. A lot of people are predicting the Cavs to make 6-8 seed at best. I see us at about the same level as them.

Yeah but then they lost Bosh and Turkoglu and didn't really acquire anyone.

How much basketball do you watch? Haha. Like another poster has already said, they've lost Turkoglu and Bosh and replaced them with Linas Kleiza and some other Titos. You don't get better when that happens. Come get me when Carmelo films his own "Decision" and wants Kleiza to be his Bosh.

The Raptors are going to be awful. There is no getting around it

ok, and the cavs lost lebron..yet i still expect them to make the playoffs. turkoglu didnt play as good for toronto last year like he did with the magic. I guarantee at the end of the season, they wont be in the bottom 3

You expect the Cavs to make it because you are a fan. Few had the Cavs picked to do much of anything at the start of the season. Even fewer had the Raptors making noise.

With this Raptor "guarantee" it is obvious you are just being contrarian now. If you aren't being contrarian, you are nave. I have some beach property in Nebraska, interested?

I still don't see more than 25 wins for the Cavs. Great win against Boston, but we still need a go to guy, were not going to do much when Hickson is our best player.

so you think bosh had more value to the raptors than what lebron was to the cavs? I mean its not like the Cavs made any big acquisitions after lebron left either

No I think the Cavs had a better supporting cast. They have a few nice players. The Raptors are in big trouble.

The difference between the Cavs and Raptors RIGHT NOW are two reasons, IMO. The bigger reason is head coaching. At the end of the day, the Cavs still have a decent coach in Byron Scott who knows what he's doing and has been to the finals before. Who the hell is the Raptors coach? I had to look it up. Jay Triano. You know him? Of course you don't. He never even played in the NBA.
The other reason, although not as influential is the Cavs still had a semi-decent group of players leftover that at least have the late-season experience and know what winning feels like. Mo, Varejao, Jamison, Moon, Gibson have all been there for a year or two or more, so at least there is still that nucleus. Granted they're in a different situation with different expectations on them, but at least not everything is completely new to them.

Well its kind of hard to say the Cavs are better than the Raptors when they just whipped our butts.
