Oooh boy, I'd think Oklahoma could get somebody a little better than Brett Venables

Just like the Buckeyes could've gotten someone a little better than Jim Tressel when they did.

That somebody was supposedly Mike Belotti from Oregon; he flew out here and was ready to accept the job; aren't you happy we didn't hire him? We would have gone thorugh this coaching search thing again just this past year, or Chip Kelly would be the head coach at Ohio State

Not sure I would be smilling just yet. Nothing is signed sealed or delivered at this point. And if you don't think Stoops isn't walking in with some demands...your kidding yourself. He isn't going to walk away from Oklahoma without getting everything he wants.
You could say that about any big time candidate in regards to demands. I'm okay with that as long as it's not too extreme. Is it a done deal yet? I'm not 100% sure but I have a feeling that it is. Maybe my smile is ill-timed. Maybe not. We'll find out soon enough.

I'm realistic enough to understand that a new coach isn't going to change the face of Notre Dame overnight, but getting a guy like Bob Stoops makes me happier than hell. It would be the best hire made since Holtz - someone with a PROVEN resume.

I still think Brian Kelly will be in ND next season. But Bob Stoops has a great opportunity if they extend it.

After watching his defense this year, I'm not sure he'd be much of an upgrade.

MUCH of an upgrade ladies and gentlemen.......MUCH.

Notre Dame has been an offensive program. When has ND ever been known for defense?

Kelly is a perfect fit.

I stand corrected.

Let me rephrase. Since 2000, when have they ever been known for defense?

SHHH!

ND is on a bowl game "streak"! Don't talk ish about the almighty Golden Domers. It only took them 13 seasons to beat a WAC team to get on that one game bowl "streak"!

I sense concern. You're the type to lose sleep over ND success.
