Example of old hearing aid from the 1920's:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/chemheritage/3003028301/

Could have been a variation of this or an older larger one. She could have been talking to the guy walking in front of her and pointing the bottom toward the man. The device, if a hearing aid, could have been a box-shaped device with an open bottom. She could also be crazy and talking to herself and holding a piece of wood or metal to her head.

To immediately jump to the conclusion that she's a time traveler based on this film is complete foolishness, much like the other photo floating around of the beatnik standing amongst the fellows in derby hats that have people claiming he's also a time traveler.

We walked by a dude talking into a head of lettuce in D.C. stating that the CIA was trying kill him because of the information he had.
So your theory is plausible.

1921 doesn't quite work, I believe this film is from 1920. However I don't believe nor ever gave notiion to the fact they could be a time traveler. I just find the video very odd and compelling at the same time.

About what? If that hearing aid was from 1921, I don't know, I heard the film was from 1920. That is all I am saying. Could be an earlier model not the 1921 one you posted. I am by no means trying to say this person was a time traveler and I am sure there is a reasonable explanation for what can be seen.

You guys are fucking killing me!. While entertaining the notion of time travel, You dismiss the theory of a cell phones because of no cell towers.

Do ya really think that if someone invented time travel, they would neglect communication across the planes of time? How the hell would they talk to their Mommies.

I mean shit people. This is simple time/space continuum theory. This was in elementary school just past Warp physics!

Did you happen to think that a 1921 model hearing aid might have followed a 1920, or a 1918, or 1915 model? I posted a 1921 because that's what came up on google. There aren't that many pictures floating around of old hearing aids.

Be more logical please! :)

What if its a future cell phone that doesn't require towers but links directly with another phone? (Nextel has had this technology for years) So basically, there may be another time traveler somewhere on earth at that moment that she is talking to. Or she can speak back into the future.

Theoretically speaking, time traveling back in time is not possible; only forward.

At this point in time (pun intended), time dilation is the only method we know of to "time travel" which would only mean forward, but it is just as impossible as backwards time travel at this point in time.

I don't mean what we can currently achieve today.

according to the siemens site, the first hearing device small enouigh to be put into a SUITCASE was 1929. It was 1934 when they were smalll enough to be put into a lady's handbag. Siemon's note: "however, these were still extremely unwieldy"
This film was made in 1928.

That is just their own history. There were portable models out long before that.
