The analogy is accurate, albeit odd. What is he a tool?

What's so wrong with using comparisons and analogies? They are to exemplify a point, not to say they are the same. Maybe you are a tool for being so offended by it.

This guy really is, what was said above...a TOOL. Earlier this season, he took team in and showed them the proper way to shower, using soap...now this? I give him one, maybe two more years more and Tenn will ax him. Mark it down.

Don't like the guy, mainly because he's Tennessee's coach and I hate them. But I don't have a problem with the illustration. Sure these statements sometimes a little overdramatic, but what is wrong with drawing on history or knowledge to articulate a point? I mean, we all know what he's talking about, right? If you can't take the point for what it is, you're the idiot really.

No, anyone who wants to talk to adults, ages 18-22 like they are in 8th grade, is actualy the idiot. He actually took his team into the lockeroom to show them how to shower? Now he is talking about looking through binoculars as the boats are coming in? LMAO. Give me a freakin break. Put yourself in the players shoes? What do you think was going through their heads during these "talks"? its not the subject matter. Its how he is trying to relate to college students! The guy is as goofy as they come.

Don't know anything about the soap, so can't really say. My understanding was the German analogy was a statement to the press, which presumably is a somewhat educated audience? I just glanced at it, am I wrong about that?

The soap thing sounds pretty goofy. But the German analogy doesn't seem like a big deal. So what?

Depends on the context of the shower incident, If his players were getting an unusually high amount of staph or ringworm infections and it could be corrected with proper showering then maybe something needed to be done. Ringworm and staph can be serious and take players off the field.

They were having loyal of staph problems. He didn't take them in there because he thought they smelled bad

Uhm have you ever talked to these adults that are 18-22 years old that play college football? A lot of them SHOW the intelligence of an 8th grader, regardless of whether their intelligence is greater or not.

So tell me, you are the head coach of a major college football program and you have kids dropping left and right with staph.... what do you do to correct it?

He really got himself in trouble later in the interview when he combined the soap & water lecture and the German analogy and started talking about his Jewish players going to the shower chambers. Yikes!

Was the comment made about the Germans before or after they bombed Pearl Harbor?

Well, I had the unfortunate displeasure of listening to this dude's mom, Barbara Dooley, tonight while driving from Starkville to Birmingham. I don't think what he said was bad or really that dumb (kinda boring)...but I am going to go with the whole family is a bunch of tools. Apparently this old @#$%& has a regular radio segment? And she didn't take kindly to the host's speculation that he ain't gonna last long there.

What do you want her to say?

"yeah my son sucks, I agree he won't be there long"?
