Why not use the system to get to the playoffs.....then let the players decide who gets the crystal ball.

So that has been discussed here over and over again...I guess you're kind of new. But it is going to come down to money and how do you generate the same amount of money through a playoff. The easy answer is "people would love a playoff" and the conclusion is that people would pay for it. But it isn't that simple and until someone shows exactly how it would work financially, it is never going to happen.

As it is, the system works pretty well, you just want more teams to have a chance. The best team doesn't always win a playoff either, this system just makes it more difficult to make the title game.
