Tonight at 8PM EST on ABC!

Thanks for bringing ND back in to the recruiting picture, atleast you dispelled the myth that ND can't attract the blue-chip athlete anymore, the next HC will be able to develop these kids and have a strong ground to recruit on.

Thanks for those two BCS appearances that basically paid your contract.

Thanks for leaving the program in better shape depth wise than you found it.

Thanks for being a good ND man who is charitable and kind.

OK..........bring on Bob Stoops!

I don't know why he would leave Oklahoma for ND. I think he would be absolutely crazy to leave.

Because he'll get paid a bit more money and I think the Norman natives are restless considering his teams' performance in big games lately.

I think that Notre Dame fans value the team's self worth. I don't know many other schools that think they can pull big time coaches from programs that have just as much history and is arguably just as prestigious. I'm not saying they won't get a big time coach, but the fact that so many big time college head coaches and even some NFL head coaches is a bit ridiculous.

You bring up some good points, Rock. Charlie did some good at ND. It just didn't show up where it needed to and that's results on the field.

As for why Stoops would leave Oklahoma for Notre Dame.....I'm sure a member of the media will ask him that if he is the next head coach in South Bend so you'll most likely get your answer.

^^^^

Why does everybody see this as not happening? I'd just like to know. Can't win the big game the last 5 times he's been in the BCS, hasn't beat Texas for a while, and is having a miserable season with all of the injuries and stuff they've had to deal with. Maybe its time for some new scenery.

Stoops beat quite a few opponents last season who were either highly ranked at the time they beat them or they ended the season ranked (and some ranked up there) after losing to Oklahoma. Some argue that those weren't "big" wins but they were definitely "quality" wins. The only losses last year were to Texas and Florida (both by 10 points). Stoops' team played for the national title earlier this year. The guy didn't forget how to coach over night. I'll take 'em.

Brian would be a good choice.... Anyone who can win a Super Bowl with a team originally from Cleveland..... must know their stuff...
